Hawks eventually falls asleep... He groggily opens his eyes as he tries to wake up, but he's awoken to Star tapping and poking his forehead, trying to wake him up.
Her hair is messy and her boots are off... which he can see her ankles and feet that are burnt badly. She was sitting in front of him and seems confused on why he's there. He yawns a bit before speaking to her.
"Hey... what's up...?"
"What're you doing here..?" Star asks quietly as she tilts her head lazily. She glances out the window where the rain is running down the window, the moon lighting up the room slightly.
"Dabi let me stay for the night... there's a huge storm outside and it was really shitty to fly in..."
Hawks whispers as he yawns again.
"Oh...he let you stay? Why'd you pick here?"
Hawks thinks about her question for a second before answering her truthfully. It's not like it would hurt to be completely honest with her.
"Yeah... he let me stay for the night... I don't know. I figured I'd just try your room cause I didn't want to annoy Dabi but I was running out of options. Besides... I had a feeling you wouldn't mind..."
"That's fair...most people don't like this room 'cause of the smell though."
Star comments quietly as she bites her nails and fidgets, looking around the room.
Hawks nods in agreement at Stars response, she had a point with most people not liking the room because it literally reek. It was such an awful and sickening smell. By now he had gotten used to it but even the thought it the smell made him want to gag.
"Yeah... I understand that. I almost gagged at the smell when I walked in... But I don't really have much of a choice to care about the smell. It's either deal with the smell or sleep out in the rain and streets..."
"I like the smell."
Star admits as she shifts slightly, leaning against the wall beside him.
Hawks blinks a few times in surprise. He was expecting her to agree with him... not like it! But he thinks for a moment before he realizes why she'd like it.
