Third pov:
Two months had passed.
The 50th anniversary of Rudhran’s company was fast approaching, and everything seemed to be falling into place—for him. Aaradhya was focused on her studies, Rudhran was handling his business with his usual sharp precision, and their love grew stronger with each passing day.
But not everyone was happy.
In the Sudharshan mansion, Reena sat on the grand velvet couch, her fingers gripping the armrest so tightly that her knuckles turned white. Rage simmered beneath her skin.
Her father—Sudharshan, the once-respected businessman—was still rotting in jail. And her man the ever-charming Ajay, had been demoted to a mere factory worker by Rudhran.
Yet, even now, she never questioned Ajay.
She trusted him blindly.
She had always been obsessed with him, seeing him as the only man worthy of her love. No matter how ruthless he was, how many people he crushed beneath his feet—she would always stand by him.
And Ajay knew it.
He leaned back lazily in his chair, swirling the whiskey in his glass with a smirk, but unlike Reena, he wasn’t seething.
No, he was waiting.
Waiting for the right moment to strike.
Yamuna sat beside him, concern etched on her face. She reached out, gently cupping his cheek. “You deserve better than this, my son.” Her voice was soft, filled with unconditional love. “You are meant to rule, not work under that low-class scum.”
Ajay’s jaw clenched, but his smirk remained. “Don’t worry, Amma,” he said. “Rudhran might think he won—but he has no idea what’s coming for him.”
Reena, who had been quietly seething, finally spoke. “I hate them,” she hissed. “That woman—Aaradhya—walking around like a queen just because she married Rudhran. And Vishnu? Like a loyal dog, following him everywhere. They all think they’re untouchable.”
Ajay chuckled darkly, setting his glass down. He turned to her, gripping her chin firmly, tilting her face up to meet his gaze.
“You hate them?” he murmured, his lips curving into a cruel smile. “Good. Keep that fire burning, baby. Because when we strike, I want them to lose everything.”
Reena shivered under his touch, her heart pounding. She lived for moments like this—his attention, his dominance, his power.
Yamuna, however, wasn’t satisfied with just words. She leaned forward. “But we have to be careful,” she warned. “Your mama told you to wait. We can’t afford any mistakes.”
Ajay’s smirk finally vanished. His eyes darkened, a storm brewing within them.
“Rudhran thinks he humiliated me by putting me in that factory?” He let out a humorless laugh. “Let him enjoy his little victory.”
Reena watched as Ajay stood up, his expression turning cold and calculating.
He picked up a neatly folded factory worker’s uniform from the table, shaking it out before slipping into it effortlessly with internal wrath.
Yamuna looked at him with concern. “Ajay…”
“I need to be inside the system to break it,” he muttered. His hands tightened around the buttons of the uniform as he fastened them one by one.
Reena’s eyes gleamed with admiration.
Yamuna exhaled, still worried, but in the end, she nodded. She had never denied him anything.
