It was Finally prom day and still no one besides me and Jake knew that we were going together.

Hiding it from Milly was quite hard especially when dress shopping as me and Jake were matching and I had to explain to Milly why I needed to get a very certain shade of dress.

Ever since Jake had asked me out to prom he had been flirting just a bit more and I was getting just a bit more flustered then normal.

Me, Jake. Zander and Luke were all walking home from school on Friday, chatting about prom.

"Well of course we were gonna match, I think most couples are" Zander says showing pictures of his and Luke's suits, Zander's suit was a deep purple with a gentle browny orange tie while Luke's suit was the gentle brown orange and purple tie.

"Did you pick suits to match your hair?" Jake laughs. "Uhhh yeah, they complement our hair?" Zander says sounding a bit sassy which made us laugh.

"Ohh Hailey you still haven't shown us your dress!" Luke says excitedly.

"Huh? Oh yeah! Here" I say pulling up a picture on my phone. It was a dark teal dress that went down to my ankles.

It was beautiful and it was paid for by my late mum who couldn't be there to shop with me. She had set aside a few envelopes of money for me for big events as she wouldn't ever be able to attend them. Buying the dress felt like she was there and it honestly made me cry.

"Omg that's so pretty!!" Luke gasps. "Oh wow that's fancy" Zander chuckles.

"How about you Jake?" Zander asks. "Oh erm...I am just doing a plain suit, nothing special heh-" Jake mumbles. He was lying but the was besides the point.

"Oh. I see.." Zander says.

When we arrived home I ran upstairs to change out of my uniform and into casuals before mum took me to the hair salon. My hair was styled with a half up and half down with the ends slightly curled. Of course I added my signature star clip which matched my hair at the back of my hair to hide the hair tie instead of the usual spot on the side of my hair.

Once we got home, I had a quick dinner before getting into my dress before mum did my makeup.

At the end I felt beautiful. Everything flowed so well with each other and I was so excited for the night.

The club was planned to meet at my house and then head off all together.

Milly wasn't able to attend prom as she was only in 10th grade but she still came over to hang out before we left.

"Haileyyy!!! Your dress is gorgeous!! It fits you so well!!" Milly gushes.

"Thank you!! I'm still so upset that you can't come with us tonight, it's not gonna feel right with out you!" I frown.

"I know, I wish I could go!! Next year I'll be there with you but by then Sean would have graduated.." she cries.

"Speaking about being all together...where is Jake? Every one is here" I ask.

I send Jake a quick message asking when he would be arriving and I go back to talking to the group.

Daisy had come over as well, as she was Sean's date to no one's surprise the pair had started to date a while before and Sean had asked her to prom together when they went on a picnic date.
