Jailey randomness/ one shots

Prom

They were quite adorable and it meant sense why they were together.

"Guys do you know when Jake is coming?" I ask starting to get a bit worried.

"You are quite worried about him Hailey.." Milly whispers which I roll my eyes at her.

Before I could say anything I hear a knock on the door.

I rush over and open it to see Jake. "Hailey!! I'm so sorry I was late, my mum was trying to take photos and stuff...anyways.." he chuckles.

"You look gorgeous.." he smiles. "Thanks Jake you look quite good too." I smile.

He was wearing a dark teal suit which matched my dress, a white shirt inside and a peachy tie.

He hands me a peachy coloured corsage, grinning.

"Hey Jake nice to see you finally show up- wait. Why do you have the same suit colour as Hailey?" Zander says appearing from the corner. His voice stern.

"I-I uhhh so um..." Jake chuckles scratching the back of his neck. "Jake. Sterling. Why do you have the same colour as my sister." Zander says, his voice becoming serious.

The rest of the group by now had come around the corner to see what was going on.

Jake flashes me a worried look. "Okay...um so the thing is..." Jake begins sounding terrified. "I sorta maybe kinda am going with Hailey...?" He says, his face looking like we was gonna run.

"JAKE STERLING WHAT??" Zander screams about to lunge at him. "WOAHHH HUN CALM DOWN!!" Luke rushes in to grab Zander while Jake runs behind me, hiding for dear life.

Luke tries to calm Zander down while Zander gives Jake a death stare. Me and Jake go over to talk to the rest of the group. "Oh my gosh!!!!" You two look so cute!!" Daisy laughs. "SO THIS IS WHY YOU WANTED TO GET THIS EXACT COLOUR HAILEY!!!" Milly beams. "Why didn't you guys tell us?" Sean laughs.

"Honestly... just thought it would be funnier to tell you guys on the day!" I grin.

Jake:
After saying good bye to Haileys parents and Milly unfortunately, we headed over to the convention Center that prom was being held.

In the car ride Daisy had been telling us all about the prom as she helped set some things up. Daisy had been elected vice head girl meaning she had less responsibility while still being able to help others which is what she aimed for. It worked out well for her considering it meant less stress, responsibility and time.

As the group walked into the building, lots of excited gasps were heard. It was fair though, the whole room had been completely transformed and looked amazing.

"Oh my gosh!!! There's a Photo Booth!!" Hailey screams dragging me over. "Woahh Hailey calm!!" I laugh. We take a few photos of just us and many of the group all together.

The group settles down at a table to have snacks and chat. "Okay sooo who are we voting for best dressed?" Zander grins. "Well...I think you quite deserve it" Luke smiles at Zander which earn some laughs.

"Best couple...yeah lander" Sean says writing on the slip. "Who's lander?" Luke asks picking up the paper. "It's Luke and Zander but smushed into one word!!" I grin.

The group continues voting for other topics and I notice Henry and Liam approaching the table.

"Hey Jake!" Liam waves. "Hey guys! You look great!!" I say which catches Haileys attention making her turn around to see them.

"Thanks man, are you and Hailey matching?" They ask. "Uh huh! Only took like 3 hours to get the colour right" Hailey chuckles. "Soo Are you likeee together..or...?" I ask looking at their suits. They had the same matching vibes as Luke and Zander, only Liam had a deep red suit and dark green tie while Henry had the same but reversed. "Umm..." Henry mumbles looking around like he was scared someone would hear. "I guess you could say that" Liam laughs. "Omg I knew it!!!" Hailey exclaimed.

"Well, it was nice to see you guys, have a great evening" Henry says waving before leaving.

Hailey
As both Henry and Liam leave, music for dancing turns on and pairs rush to the dance floor.

"Would you like a dance princess?" Jake asks my holding his hand out. I laugh before accepting and holding his hand to the designated dance floor.

"I have actually no idea how to dance!" I laugh "me neither" he says chuckling. He takes one of my hands and put it's on his shoulder before moving his hand on my waist. "Um, is it okay?" He asks quietly. "Yeah." I smile. He holds my hand gently with the other hand and we attempt to copy what other couples were doing.

"Thanks for asking me to prom Jake." I smile. "Well..thank you! For saying yes!" He laughs. "But seriously Hailey, thank you..for everything you have done." I feel my face getting hotter while I try to act normal. "It's um It's nothing" I smile.

"You know...if you told me a while ago that I would be at prom with you, I would of not believed you one bit!" I say laughing. "100% it's crazy to think how so much has changed!"

"Okay but for the better?" I ask. "Of course."

"We look so cute right now especially because of our matching outfits" I say looking at his outfit again. My eyes drift from his eyes to his face to his body to- "hey princess, my eyes are up here" he smirks "I-I um shut up!" I couldn't see my self but I knew I was going red.

"You look very nice too Hailey." He smiles.

The end of the night comes as quick as it arrived and Jakes mum drops me off with Jake. "Jake sweetie I need to take a phone call so talk to Hailey or something for 5 would you? Also bye Hailey darling, have a lovely night you look gorgeous!" His mum calls out as Jake opens the door for me to get out.

"Thanks miss sterling!" I call out walking to my door. "Well I guess this is the end of the night.." I frown realising it would be the last that me and Jake were to match. "I had lots of fun, thanks hails" he grins.

We go quiet, both not knowing what to say, our eyes locking. Panic sets in as I want to keep looking at him but I want to look away at the same time, it felt like looking at the sun.

He smiles softly at me. Damn it. Just do it Hailey this is your only chance.

Without thinking I lean up on my tippy toes and kiss him.

His face goes turns into a mix of shocked and surprise and I suddenly realise what I did.

"Fuck. Sorry I-I I don't know why I did that I-" I was cut off by Jake grabbing my face and leaning to kiss me. He stayed like that for a bit just holding me, he smelt exactly how I expected him to smell like and I could taste the chapstick on his lips. It was blueberry scented and reminded me of a ice cream he had a few days before.

Slowly he stood back up, still smiling. My hands fall out of his and the sudden cold of the night hits my hand where it was once warm. "Good night princess" he says before walking towards his car and getting in, while waving to me. "U-um good night!"

I slowly walk into the house and lean against the door falling onto the floor.

God what did I do to deserve this?
