Start from the beginning

His body moved fluidly, his laughter blending with the energy of the party.

But then, as if an invisible thread pulled him, his gaze shifted towards the bar.

There she was-Raghavi.

She stood alone, her figure poised yet relaxed, a quiet intensity surrounding her.

The dim lighting cast a golden glow on her features, highlighting the delicate curve of her jawline and the soft waves of her hair.

Her eyes, already on him, held something that made his breath hitch.

It wasn't just curiosity; it was something deeper, something unspoken.

The way she stood, the way her presence demanded attention without effort-it was intoxicating.

Before he knew it, his feet moved towards her.

She noticed, and her eyes widened slightly before she quickly turned away, her posture stiffening.

He caught the faintest glimpse of a blush creeping up her cheeks.

A frown tugged at his lips-was she avoiding him?

Determined, he stepped behind her and gently tapped her shoulder.

She stiffened further before exhaling a quiet breath, composing herself.

When she turned around, they were standing mere inches apart.

His sharp gaze caught the way she swallowed nervously, the delicate movement of her throat making something primal stir within him.

The temptation to press his lips to her slender neck and taste the warmth of her skin was almost unbearable.

But he controlled himself.

"Why are you standing here alone?" he asked, his voice low and smooth.

"Just like that," she replied, her voice steadier than she felt.

"Why? Don't you like parties?"

"Nope. I just love to enjoy alone. I'm not a party person."

He clicked his tongue, a soft chuckle escaping his lips.

The sound sent an inexplicable rush of butterflies through her stomach.

What the hell?

Why was his fucking laugh making her feel this way?

Before she could question it further, he grabbed her hand, catching her off guard. "Come on, Blaze," he said, dragging her towards the dance floor.

She blinked in confusion. "Blaze? Did you just call me a fire?"

He smirked at her reaction, realizing he had spoken the nickname louder than intended.

Leaning down, his breath brushed against her ear as he whispered, "Nope, you're not just a fire. You're that intense flame that has the power to burn the whole world down. And trust me, Blaze, I'm waiting for that level of intensity where I wouldn't even mind burning in your heat."

Her heart slammed against her ribcage.

What the hell was he saying?

And why did it make everything more difficult for her?

Was he drunk?

She leaned back slightly, searching his eyes for an answer.

They were dark pools of raw emotion, unreadable yet magnetic.
