And now, here we were, sitting in the same flight, but avoiding each other like the plague.
I hadn't dared to look at her, and honestly, I was scared to.
Scared of what?
I didn't know.
Maybe because it felt like I had committed a crime-like I had murdered something precious, something fragile.
I lifted my thumb and rubbed it over my lips, as if trying to erase the lingering sensation of her soft lips, but it only made it worse.
My head leaned back against the seat, and the moment I closed my eyes, all I could see was her face.
Not just her face-but the way we kissed, the way I kissed her, the way she responded before reality hit us both.
It was driving me to the edge of insanity, and I had no idea how to handle it.
My gaze involuntarily landed on her.
She was sitting a few rows ahead, by the window, her eyes closed, headphones on.
She looked peaceful-too peaceful-while I was sitting here losing my mind.
My eyes flickered to her lips, and I immediately gulped before turning my head away.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck," I muttered under my breath.
This wasn't right.
What the hell was I thinking?
The rest of the flight went by in a blur, with my mind replaying that moment over and over again.
After what felt like forever, the plane finally landed in Chandigarh.
Finally, I was home.
But somehow, I knew-I was far from feeling at home within myself.

It didn't take long to spot their families standing near the exit.
A chuckle escaped Ranjit as he noticed Aparna enthusiastically waving at him like an excited child.
Beside her stood Samarthya, his usual composed demeanor intact.
Nikhil and Ranjit exchanged glances before moving towards them, with Raghavi following closely behind.
As soon as Ranjit reached Aparna, she wasted no time pulling him into a warm embrace.
He leaned into her hold, relishing the comfort of home.
Meanwhile, Samarthya and Nikhil stood back, observing the reunion with amused smiles.
