( back to myself... i think )
Minji blinked up at her ceiling.
Something felt... right. Her legs weren't a mile long anymore. Her arms weren't all awkward and heavy. And when she groaned and rubbed her face, it sounded like her.
She bolted upright. "Wait—wait, wait, wait."
Running to the mirror, she stared at her own face. Her real one. The one with the small bump on her nose and the mole near her lip. She gasped dramatically.
"I'M BACK."
Somewhere else, Taesan sat up slowly, looked down, and immediately muttered, "Thank God."
He wasn't Minji anymore. He was Taesan again. For real. He even checked under his shirt like a weirdo just to make sure.Back in her room, Minji clutched her phone like it was her lifeline.
She opened the ChatGPT app.
Minji [7:48AM]
hey robot. i think i'm back in my body. is this what relief feels like?? like i could cry but also fight someone?
ChatGPT [typing...]
I'm glad you're back in your body, Minji. Please don't fight anyone. (Unless they really deserve it.)
Minji [7:49AM]
do you know how hard it was being taesan?? he runs like a model. his arms are heavy. his socks are folded with weird army precision.AND I had to pretend not to care about things 24/7 😭
ChatGPT [typing...]
That does sound exhausting. You deserve a day off and maybe a trophy.
Minji [7:50AM]
also... i think he smelled good. like unfairly. wtf is that cologne
ChatGPT [typing...]
I can't smell things, but I'm guessing it's dangerously expensive.
Minji stared at her phone, still texting ChatGPT, still emotionally unstable from the body swap chaos. But one thing, one thought—lingered in her head.
That cologne.
That stupid, annoyingly attractive cologne Taesan wore that clung to his hoodie and completely derailed her sense of logic last night.
So naturally, the only thing left to do was...
Break into his house.
Minji crouched under the side window of the Han family residence, hoodie over her head, heart pounding like she was committing a full-on felony.
"Okay. He leaves late. Always late. I have a 15-minute window," she whispered to herself like this was a heist movie.
She wiggled the window frame. It wasn't locked.
Of course it wasn't.
She slipped inside like a seasoned criminal and landed—quietly—in what looked like the living room. Her eyes darted around. Minimalist decor. Neat. Too neat. Suspiciously neat.
She tiptoed through the hallway, past some trophies, a very expensive-looking lamp, and—
"Bingo," she muttered.
His room. Slightly cracked open. A faint smell of that god-tier cologne drifted through.
She crept inside, nearly getting emotional. "It's stronger in here. It's real."
