Something felt off. He didn't know why, but it just didn't feel right.
Something was wrong.
He walked out into the lobby only to be met by silence.
Then he felt a hand on his shoulder.
Lucifer flinched, turning around and almost punching Alastor.
"Oh-sorry-" Luc says, relaxing his arms.
"Luci, why are you up so late?" Alastor scooped the shorty up, and he nuzzled into Alastor's neck.
"I dunno. Something doesn't feel right." He whispers. "I feel like someone is watching me."
Alastor chuckles. "I'm sure it's nothing, love. Let's get you back to bed."
The next morning, Lucifer still had that same uneasy feeling, but he tried not to think about it.
As the day went on, Lucifer did his best not to pay attention to the horrible feeling in his gut. Instead he joined one of Charlie's activities. It took his mind off of things for a little while . . . but as soon as it was done the feeling came crashing back.
And then the lights went out.
He heard a yell that sounded like Vaggie, a Yelp from Charlie . . . and then felt something sharp pierce his back and out his stomach.
The blade pulled out and he collapsed to the ground with a painful grunt. Lucifer then felt something that felt like the heel of someone's shoe stab into his open wound. Something landed on his face. Paper?
He heard someone stumble, then the lights turned on.
"Lucifer!" That was Alastor, but the king couldn't open his eyes as he slowly lost consciousness.
"Guys," he just barely heard Charlie's worried tone as he felt himself slip into darkness. "Where . . . where's Vaggie?"
