Things took a turn rather quickly after finding the remnants of the Speedwagon helicopter. A vicious attack came soon after. A terrifying water stand, that relied solely on sound, left everyone fighting for their lives with little hope of recovery.

It seemed like every time you thought things couldn't get any worse, they managed to find a way. You all had been left cowering on top of the car, both Avdol and Kakyoin gravely injured. Things were looking dire, and you started to wonder if this might really be the end for all of you.

But Jotaro's quick thinking managed to save you all, as he used Iggy and his stand to finally track down and defeat the stand's user. Allowing those of you still trapped on the car a moment to breathe, and finally get Avdol and Kakyoin to a hospital.

Things cooled down after that, everyone standing by anxiously in the hospital waiting room as the day came to a close and the sun began to set.

Your eyelids grew heavy as you rested your head on your hand in one of the uncomfortable chairs. You fought to stay conscious, like a kid at the end of the family gathering waiting for their parents to finally shut up and go.

Joseph seemed to take notice of your plight though, as he rose to his feet in front of everyone.

"It's getting late. We ought to check into a hotel for the night, there's no use in all of us waiting around here anyway. One of us can stay back in case there's any news, and the rest of us can get some shut eye." Joseph suggested, and you would've probably jumped for joy if your body wasn't running on fumes. You felt a little guilty wanting to leave when your comrades were still struggling, but you knew you'd be utterly useless if you were completely sleep deprived tomorrow.

"I'll stay here for now. I'll call if there's any updates." Jotaro added, peering out from the shade of his hat as he leaned back in his seat and crossed his arms.

"Thank god, I'm exhausted. I can't afford to miss out on any more of my beauty rest." Polnareff chimed in, and you poorly concealed a laugh. Iggy then yowling along with you, which earned the both of you a glare from the Frenchman.

The four of you walked to the nearest lodging. It was small, but cozy, and you honestly didn't care what the place looked like so long as it had a bed.

The old man checked in, and a few minutes later dropped a key in your hand. You barely glanced at the room number as you dragged your sluggish body up the stairs, moving like a zombie as you trailed behind the two men.

When you reached the first landing, Joseph said his goodnights and stepped out, leaving you and Polnareff to continue the hike up the stairs, Iggy having gone off on his own somewhere along the way. As you reached the fourth floor, you both stepped out of the stairwell into the hallway in relative silence.

You made your way down the hall with Polnareff, glancing at the number stamped on your key as you neared the corresponding room.

You finally slowed to a stop in front of it, fiddling with your room key.

"Goodnight, Polnareff, I'll see you tomorrow." You mumbled to the Frenchman who had also stopped beside you.

"What do you mean? This is my room. I know you're tired, but come on now." He replied, holding out his key for you to see.

You gave him an incredulous look, shaking your head and holding up your own key. "Um, no. This is my room. Look," You argued, dangling your key in front of his face

He grabbed it to steady it from your swaying hand, and looked slightly horrified as his eyes read over the numbers.

"No, you look! They're the same number." You rolled your eyes and grabbed his key from his grip, holding the two side by side in disbelief. As your tired brain caught up to what your eyes were seeing, you groaned, shoving the Frenchman's key back into his hand.
