The Bean Boozled Challenge!

Today Stone had us sitting down in the kitchen one calm afternoon on a weekend. He's been wanting us to have more family fun time so he went out of his way to buy family fun games. Although, he held up his phone at us for reasons neither of us knew as he presented us a new game called "Bean Boozled."

Shadow arched his brow curiously at the particular game "What kind of game is this?" He read the box closely while I stared at the different kind of beans. Stone grinned excitedly "It's a type of challenging game to play with someone where your luck is tested on whether you pick the right flavored bean out of the categories there while some aren't as appetizing. Two of the same beans could taste completely different and you wouldn't know unless you try them."

I hummed "Strange...but who I suppose I can't turn down a challenge." I began opening up the game and setting it up. Shadow turned to Stone "Are there any coffee beans..?" He asked eagerly as he watched me finished setting up everything. Stone shrugged "Mm...maybe? There should writing on what the beans taste like. Let me know when you're ready."

Shadow turned to Stone "Why are you holding the phone?" Stone replied happily "I'm recording so we can look back on this. Like memories we can keep in here. I'll be fun." He nodded contentedly "I see..." I faced him with a light scoff "I thought I already told you how the phone works." He made a "tch" sound turning away with his ears low "I....forget okay?"

Once we signaled Stone to start I went first and spun the wheel landing on a blue piece. "So...it either going to be peach or barf it says.." I picked one up and put it in my mouth and chewed it. My face became sour as I swallowed reluctantly "Ugh...it was the barf one." Shadow winced "That must've tasted horrible.." he sighed as he spun next as it landed on a red piece.

"Licorice or burnt rubber.." he popped it into his mouth as his facial expression didn't change "I think it was the licorice. Hm...not bad." Stone hummed in disagreement "I personally prefer the red ones." I spun again as it landed on an orange piece "Juicy pear or booger.." I popped it into my mouth and immediately closed my eyes savoring the taste "Mm...pear~"

I was always a fruity type of person, but hey, who isn't? I watched as Shadow gave me a small smile admiring how cute I looked as he spun the wheel landing on a black piece. "Berry blue or toothpaste..." he read as he put the blue bean in his mouth letting out a soft hum. "It's minty.." so he got the toothpaste one.

I chuckled at him, thinking that wasn't too bad as I spun the next one landing on a blue piece. "Tutti fruitti or stinky socks.." I plopped the bean in my mouth as seconds pass and I coughed a bit while covering my mouth as I did my best to swallow, closing my eyes briefly to forget the smell and taste.

Stone sighed "Stinky socks one, huh?" I nodded as I slid the wheel to Shadow. He spun hesitantly as it landed on a black piece reading out "Toasted Marshmallow or Stink bug.." he ate it immediately and sighed as he tasted the sweet fluffy taste of the white treat. I groaned as I spun and landed on the orange piece seeing how it looked like the pear flavored.

"Booger flavor..." I slowly put it in my mouth as I gagged, swallowing it whole and grabbed my drink chugging it down. I glared at the phone hearing silent snickering from behind as Shadow spun the wheel next and landed on a purple piece "Strawberry Banana smoothie or dead fish..." he ate the bean and smiled at the delightful taste "I taste the fruit."

"Humph...my turn now." I spun the wheel landing on orange as I read "Pomegranate or old bandaid..." I shuddered at the thought of tasting the bad one as I placed it in my mouth. The two boys waited to see which one I picked as I smiled "I taste the fruit too.." Shadow was glad I got a good one as he spun for his turn as the arrow landed on purple as he ate it quickly.

"Blegh-" he held his fist to his mouth for a moment before swallowing. "What'd you get?" He groaned "It was the one that looked like the strawberry bean...I got dead fish." Me and Stone winced in disgust as we continued our game. We had another ten beans to try and our tastebuds were starting to become more sensitive.

Stink Bug- me: It was disgusting

Cappuccino- Shadow: he really enjoyed that one

Liver and Onions- me: they stared at me weirdly seeing how I was savoring the taste for some odd reason...I swore I heard the other me giggling.

Top banana- Shadow: he kept getting all the good fruity ones..

Old Bandage- me: "Uck!" I almost threw up..

Wet Dog- Shadow: "Why does the taste remind me of whenever I take a shower..?" I heard him mumble to himself.

Tutti Fruitti- me: I was victorious yet again.

Peach- Shadow: For some reason Stone kept singing "Peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches." Repeatedly.

Berry Blue: me: The taste reminded me a delicious blueberry. Which reminds me...I need to make some one day.

Shadow held the last of the beans as he ate it. "Nghm...it's burnt rubber.." he grimaced at the taste as Stone stopped the video. "Great job, you two! That wasn't so bad, right?" I shuddered "It was....an interesting challenge to say the least, but I'm just glad that's over." Shadow stood up going over to the coffee machine as he mumbled "These are the only beans I'll ever eat..."

Stone dismissed himself as he threw away the trash leaving me to myself. Shadow was about to pass by me while devouring his coffee beans as he lifted me up with one arm, hoisting me over his shoulder as I let out a small yelp of surprise. "What are you doing?" I giggled watching him giving me a side-eyed grin "We're going to our room~"
