Chapter Thirty Five

Just a few minutes, the second dish was served. I surveyed all of it, though it's not familiar with me, alam ko naman na Filipino dish iyon lahat. I sighed, damang dama ko ang kahirapan ko rito.

Cairo started serving me foods. Siya pa ang naglagay ng kanin ko, pinapili niya lang ako ng ulam at siya na rin ang naglagay nun sa plato ko. I bit my lips, hindi naman ako maarte at hindi rin naman ako sanay na ganito but him doing it feels so natural. And of course, him taking care of me is making me feel a lot of things.

I smiled at him, he looked at me and smiled too. "Kain na."

I nodded. Nauna ako kumain, pinanood niya muna ako saglit saka siya sumunod.

Pagkatapos namin kumain, he told me na gusto niya pa raw na mamasyal kami. Ngumuso ako.

"Saan naman?"

"I am thinking....SM? Sm grand sana."

"Saan 'yun?" I asked.

His brows furrowed. "Hindi ka pa nakakapunta roon?"

Umiling ako. "Hindi pa. Malayo ba? Ayoko pag malayo ha."

"Well for me, hindi siya malayo ah. I don't know about you," he chuckled.

Umirap ako. "E'di huwag na."

He chuckled. "I'm serious! I care so much about you, love. I don't want you to get tired."

Ngumisi ako. "Tired? Mamasyal lang tayo. You're oa ha."

We both resumed eating. I was just actually enjoying devouring these foods, i didn't think that I would actually enjoy them as much as I did.

Cairo naman was just observing and talking about the most random things. I can't pay attention because my mind was like in a default rest when I'm with him. I don't think too much about other things or even care about it.

"Done already?" he asked.

I nodded and smiled shyly. "Oo. I think I'm full."

He nodded and chuckled. "That's the goal."

"Ano gagala ba tayo? Saan ba 'yung SM na sinasabi mo?"

Ngumuso siya. "Uhm...sa Caloocan, love."

"Caloocan lang pala e," sabi ko.

"Yeah but—"

"Tara na! Mag date na tayo!" sabi ko at hinila na siya.

Napaisip siya saglit bago tumayo at napansin ko agad iyon. He slowly got up and sighed. I cleared my throat.

"What's wrong?" tanong ko.

Umiling siya. "I was just thinking....how can I...bring my car with me?"

I bit my lips. "Bawal 'di ba?"

He nodded. "Well, yeah. Should we leave it at Lance's house or Lenard's?"

Both Lance and Lenard's house are near in this area. Popular pa nga iyon sa mga ka schoolmate namin, tuwing napapadaan kami sa mga bahay nila ay may mga estudyante sa labas na nagpapa picture. Maybe because of the fact that most of the time, their houses is the venue for the parties of many celebrities, international man o local.

"Ewan ko. Chat mo muna sila kung kanino puwede," sabi ko.

It took them so long to reply kaya naman nagbayad na si Cairo at umalis na kami. Nag drive na siya sa mas malapit na area kung nasaan ang bahay ng dalawa. Nag kuwento nalang ako sa kaniya while waiting for the reply of Lenard or Lance. One of them did, and it's Lance.
