I was kneeling on the floor beside Eclipse's bed, watching him intently for any slight movements to indicate he was waking up. Then his eyes began to flutter open.
"Eclipse! You're awake! Are you okay? Do you need anything? What happened?" I immediately began asking Eclipse questions.
"Moon's dead...!" Eclipse cried out, tears running down his face.
"Moon's what?!" BlueRise yelled, beginning to cry. I hugged Eclipse, and he quickly hugged back, gripping my back and crying into my chest.
"I-I lost them both!" Eclipse sobbed.
"Shh... Let it all out... it's okay..." I rubbed Eclipse's back, feeling terrible. Me and Moon were never super close, nor did I think that he liked me very much... but he did matter to Eclipse...
And I know what it's like to lose someone...
It hurts...
"The last thing I said to him was how we weren't family! B-but I didn't mean it!" Eclipse looked up at me with tear filled eyes.
"I wish I stayed dead!" I heard BlueRise call out from behind me.
"...What...?" I asked, turning around.
"First Sun's gone, now Moon! Nothing good has happened since I came back!" BlueRise cried.
"No, no, no... BlueRise... You've only been back for a day... Don't say life isn't worth living because a lot has happened... It's heartbreaking... But you can't just give up..." I spoke, slowly reaching out to BlueRise and gently pulling him into the hug, wrapping my arms and wings around them both.
