Wriothesley's POV

 As we were about to leave, I finally understood what Neuvillette meant by "you would die of shame if she were done changing before you".

 Snow didn't just change.

 This is not changing clothes!

 This is a whole damn transformation!

 Long white hair reaching just above her knees was gone, replaced by a much less conspicuous brown hairdo reaching just halfway down her back.

 Her face no longer looked like a carbon copy of  Neuvillette's. The only thing about it that was the same was the color of her eyes, but even that was concealed behind a pair of glasses.

 "What the..."

 "Neuvillette coming home? Not suspicious. Two Neuvillettes going shopping? Suspicious." 

 That was her only explanation. And aside from me, it didn't look like anyone needed one.

 I would assume this is not the first time she does this, so Neuvillette, the twins, and Freminet being fine with it is one thing.

 But even Sigewinne was over the transformation really quickly.

 She just gave her a thumbs up!

 At least I now know why she was dressed like Neuvillette when she arrived.

 That is certainly one way to avoid your enemies finding out where you are going.

 But now, we were faced with another problem.

 There were seven of us now. There is no way we would fit in one car.

 We would have to split between two cars.

 A split I had no choice in.

 "I'm taking your boyfriend." Snow told Neuvillette.

 Neither of us had a chance to protest, not that I believe it would have made a difference. I was pushed into the passenger seat of her car within seconds of that statement dropping.

 This didn't spell anything good, if Lyney's half-pitying, half-amused smile as he dramatically waved us off with a handkerchief he got from who knows where was anything to go by.

 Neuvillette just stood there for a moment, mouth opening and closing a few times, not knowing what to say, before he too was pushed into the other car by the kids.

 Sigewinne mouthed 'You got this!' at me before jumping in herself.

 The start of the ride was spent in silence. 

 For a while, it made me think that I had been worried for nothing.

 Just for a while though.

 "So... You met Vautrin."

 Huh?

 That's where she's starting?

 "Yes...?"

 "I would advise you not to piss him off too much. Annoying him a bit is fine, but you wouldn't want that to be the reason Neuvillette dumps you." 

 "Excuse me?"

 Why would Neuvillette dump me because of Vautrin?

 "You could consider Vautrin Neuvillette's one male friend."
