Choices the third of four in the Shattered Series, (Shattered, Forgiven, Choices, and The After,with)

"Alright Anthony, it's time to clean up" Adam told the little boy, "clean these up while I put Harper to bed and then we can watch a movie, okay?"

"Ok" he responded cleaning the Legos up.

"Bob, what are we going to do about Annie and Adam? We haven't heard from Adam in weeks, how much longer are you going to let this go on?" Amy was pleased Kim and Annie had been talking.

"I don't know what to do, I can't blame Adam for the way he feels. I don't care for Derek either" he told her as he settled on the couch and turned the game on, "I hate that she lives with him"

"Bob, you wouldn't like anyone Annie was involved with, Derek is good man" she had spent time with the couple, "he's made mistakes for sure, but who among us hasn't?"

"I get it, she's my baby girl" he sat up, "but you're right"

"What?" Amy smiled as she sat next to him "can you say that again for me" she laughed.

"So funny" he told her "you're right"

Sean fought with the door, unable to get in through the drivers side door as it was pushed up against the telephone pole, the passenger side doors both destroyed and now sitting on the inside of the car.

He kicked at the door, "son of a bitch where the hell is the fire department!" He yelled he was desperate to get inside, he went to the front of the car and squeezed between the pole and the car, the window shattered, "you need to hold on, okay? Please hold on, help is coming" her face covered in blood, her pulse still weak, "Platt, where the hell are they?"

"On their way Sean, is she okay?"

"I don't think so" he replied, she was unconscious and if the condition of the car was any indication she was in a lot of trouble, "did you call Adam?"

"No, I don't want to tell him" it wasn't often she was scared, but she was as scared as she could ever remember being, "I can't tell him"

She kicked her shoes off as soon as she walked in the door, "hey!" She called out, "where are you?" She sat her purse on the counter.

She went to their bedroom, "you can't be sleeping already" she opened the door and found him sitting at the desk, the stick in his hand.

"You found it" Annie said flatly, Derek turned around, "I was going to tell you"

He put it on the desk, "how long have you known?"

"Just a few days, I needed to wrap my head around it, and I needed to talk to Kim" she sat on the bed, "please don't be mad, Derek, I was going to tell you"

He joined her on the bed, "I'm not mad, Annie. Honestly I'm scared, what are we going to do?"

"Do you even want children?" She felt his hand come to rest on her now flat stomach, which she knew would soon change.

"Yes, I do. I just didn't think it would be so soon, but it's okay we will make it work" he told her, "have you told your parents?"

"Not yet, I'm sure my father is going to freak. Amy will be happy for us, she likes you" she smiled, covering his hand with her own, "I think Kim's happy as well, and she said she wouldn't tell Adam"

He laughed, "well, that's a relief. He will find out soon enough though, maybe I should tell him" he offered.

"No, if anything I will tell him, he is still being an ass about us. You know he hasn't even spoken to my dad. It's killing my father too, he's done nothing to deserve Adam's wrath" she sighed, "we're going to need a bigger place you know"
