The Rose and the Prince

"You live here!?" Amy gasped, seeing the grand size of the Metropolis castle.

"So does Sonic."

"And he had lived here before we have even met!?"

Sonia nodded with a smile.

"Come, I'll take you to your room."

As Sonia was helping Amy around the castle, the guardian captain jumped out in a firm matter, scowling at the pink hedgehog.

"Evening, princess. Do you you have with here at this time of night?"

"It's none of your business, Silver. Besides, you will know tomorrow."

"Princess, you know that I can not let random strangers in the castle. Those are the rules!"

"Silver, please, just this once!"

"She goes out."

"Well, who are you talking to!?" Sonia took a step forward.

Silver was silent.

"You may take orders from Sonic, but I am his sister. And let me tell you at this very time I need Amy Rose, if you boot her out, Sonic wouldn't be very pleased with you."

"Fine." Silver responded sternly. "Although. I will speak to him of the matter that she entered the palace."

"Could you wait to tell him before 9:30 tomorrow morning?"

"Now why is that?"

"Because I am surprising him with something."

"You told me it was urgent to let this Amy enter."

"I didn't say urgent, but it is really important to this surprise. And yes, it is urgent!"

"Whatever, princess." Silver responded, walked passing the girls.

"Silver."

The captain looked back.

"After 9:30."

The captain hesitated, then nodded before walking away.

"9:30?"my wondered in amazement. "That's early!"

"Not for Sonic that is. He is up at six every morning to get started with the day."

"Are you serious? Sonic never wakes up that early! He always sleeps in!"

"Well not anymore."

Sonic's alarm clock beeped at six the following morning. He dismissed it, stretching on the bed.

"Why can't I sleep in like I used to." he complained. He sat up on his bed, gazing out the balcony window, seeing the darkness outside with a speck of the sun's light coming out.

Sonic started to dress for the day in a royal blue set. He had an important meeting he had in an hour. The meeting required him to look regal and authoritative.

Sonic looked around, seeing his sister at the door of his room.

"Good morning, Sonia." Sonic smiled.

"Morning Sonic." Sonia smiled back. "You look nice today."

Sonic sighed, rolling his eyes. "If you say so. Dressing like this is something I will never get used to."

Sonia walked in his room, making her way towards the dresser where Sonic's crown was nicely placed in a plush.

"Have any plans for the day, sis?"

"Well, I may have some plans." Sonia looked up at her brother with a smirk on her face.

Sonic smirked back. "Sounds like you're excited for the day."
