I took the time alone to catch up on some sleep, even though I'd slept in Lucifer's bedroom... I gasped, I'd slept in his room! I smiled slightly as I walked over to my new bed and flopped down on the soft mattress. I let out a soft moan, this had to be the best mattress I'd ever laid on! Well apart from Lucifers. I grinned, it had felt like sleeping on a cloud!
In no time at all, I felt myself sink into sleep, covered with soft covers that made me feel safe and warm. Before I fell asleep I realised in my tired state, that the covers would never compare to Lucifers strong arms and how I'd felt wrapped in them.
I don't know how long I slept, but it was enough for me to wake up feeling rejuvenated. I let out a yawn and stretched my arms above my head until I felt a satisfying crack. I shook my arms about, then swung my legs over the side of the bed. I squealed in delight as I felt the soft carpet beneath my feet. Oh my god, seriously I'd lie in it, it was that soft.
Unwillingly I dragged myself to the strange door I'm my bedroom, opening it revealed a fairly sized bathroom... Not! It revealed a bathroom the size of my blooming apartment back home. The room included a circle bath tub, a walk in shower and of course a toilet. I immediately chose the walk in shower and set the water temperature to just above warm.
Twenty minutes later, I'd dried myself off with the most fluffiest towel ever known to man. I brushed my teeth, then made a grab for my clean clothes... Crap. I'd forgotten my clothes, well the clothes Agatha had chosen for me. I wrapped the towel securely around my body and walked out of the pretty bathroom. I let out a sigh, thank god no one was in here!
Waking over to the black wardrobe, I pulled it open and took in its contents, there were so many dressers in a variety of colours and shades. A few pairs of jeans and a few tops. I chose a black pair of jeans and a red plain t-shirt. Pairing it with some black matching underwear and socks.
A few minutes later, I brushed my hair with a brush I'd found in the bathroom cabinet and pulled on my shoes. Walking slowly over to the door, I opened it as quietly as I could. Looking quickly left and then right to make sure nobody was coming, I pulled out a few ninja moves and well... basically hugged the wall to stay remotely invisible to anyone who would look my way. The adrenaline was pounding through my body as my heart threatened to burst out my chest. I cringed at the thought. Trying to blend into the shadows I started to jog up the corridor. Scanning the area, I could see that there was a nearly hidden door at the end of the hall way. The door was in the corner of the corridor, covered by the shadows that the lights would never reach. Choosing that door as my victim, I made a run for it.
Upon reaching the dark door, I grabbed the golden handle and surprisingly the door was unlocked. Suckers! Seems to me Lucifer wasn't as controlling as I first thought. I smirked to myself.
Slowly, I opened the door. It creaked slightly, making me jump. I turned around making sure nobody had seen or heard me, and slipped behind the door. My heart was beating so loud in my chest, I thought the hole of hell could hear it. Maybe they could... I shivered at the mere thought.
A warm breeze hit my back, making me turn around slowly. Everything was dark, only a little light streamed in from the end of the tunnel. What made me really think, was why anybody would hide a cave behind a single, clearly intended to be hidden black door? I could hear dripping, meaning there was water some where, probably leaking down from the ceiling of the damp cave. Thinking it best to go to the light, ha go to the light! I let out a soft giggle. I started slowly walking. That's what I was meant to do in heaven.
Feeling my way around, my fingers brushed the tunnel wall feeling slime and brick. "Gross! Dont they know how to clean?" I shuddered in distaste. Stumbling slightly over the un even ground below, I made my way towards the end of the tunnel. The cave smelled earthy and I breathed in the smell, reminding me of the times I walked past the park back home. Brushing my soft black hair out of my face, I tied it into a side braid. I stopped almost immediately. Stud in surprise. At the end of the dark dirty tunnel there was a secret garden! The grass was a dark green and as I walked forward it felt soft under my feet. I decided to take off my shoes and walk bare foot in the grass. You could feel the sun beating down warming my body, I sighed. This place was beautiful.
Little butterflies in blues, purples and reds fluttered in between the willow trees as the branches swooped towards the earth majestically. I could imagine my self sat under one of those trees in one of those summer dresses, reading a book. I imagined Lucifer laid next to me, enjoying the sun whilst sleeping or maybe feeding each other strawberries. As quickly as the thought came I pushed it away. I blushed a bright red. Yes, I had been told I was Lucifers mate, I even had the black angel wings, hair and eyes to prove it. That didn't mean Lucifer liked me. I was completely unaware by the light footsteps making there way behind me.
"I find it's really quite peaceful here," I screamed at the voice that had suddenly spoken into my ear, minty breath flooded my senses and my body began to feel warm at the closeness of the man. His voice was deep, a bit like batman, but softer, more musical.
Turning around slowly, arms folded over my chest, I stared into a pair of red eyes dancing in amusement. Lucifer! I blushed deeper in embarrassment. Looks like I've been caught out. "I did tell Agatha to tell you to stay in your room..." I immediately cut him off by trying to defend Agatha.
"She didn't do anything! She told me to stay and I took it upon my self to explore my surroundings, Agatha is a really nice person and she even gave me a slice of cake, which by the way was very tasty if I do say so myself..." I was cut off by Lucifer placing his rough finger to my lips, instantly silencing me. I looked down at my feet, great I was babbling again. My black hair fell into my face hiding me from his stare.
Lucifer chuckled, making me blush again. Damn hormones! I slowly looked up to see Lucifer looking at me, his eyes were filled with curiosity. "What made you go through the door, most people would have seen the dark tunnel and walked away."
Looking down, I swallowed down my nerves, " The darkness intrigues me. Sometimes you have to go to the darkness to find the light in your life. I wanted to explore it." It was a simple answer, but it was the truth. Lucifer hummed and began to turn away.
"Sometimes darkness shouldn't be explored." Lucifer disappeared, leaving me alone in the peaceful garden, wondering about what he had said.
