Piper Finds Out

"I left Bob at the doors when he wanted and deserved to see the stars. He changed for us. He saved us when I had to leave him behind so we could go back and possibly die anyways. He didn't even have ro come to us. I tricked him! I was manipulative. I never even visited him! Nico did. And about Nico! I never paid enough attention to know he liked me! He loathed me for so long and I didn't know. I-I scared my own girlfriend who I've known since I was 12.  She doesn't trust me." He finished with a strangled gasp and gripped his hair in his hands, looking down. "She. Doesn't. Trust. Me."

"Percy listen to me." I began. My voice strong. I had to keep it steady after hearing...that. For him. "Nico wasn't in there nearly as long as you and Annabeth. Sure, he is brave to go alone. He saw the goddess of misery. But did he look Tartarus in the face? Watch as Giants get demolished and killed like pesky flies? What's his fatal flaw? It's not loyalty. With yours it makes sense that leaving Bob hurt the most." I heard a lot of this stuff from Annabeth, who wasnt afraid to come out about her visions.

He looked up at me. His eyes only visible under his black hair. His voice was muffled when he spoke.

"Don't give me excuses Piper. I've done terrible things. "

"Percy! They're the truth! You have to accept that. Don't be guilty all the time."

"Alright fine! But what about the panic attacks? The fear of losing control of my powers. Water already goes haywire when I stand near it!"

"I haven't noticed."

"Nobody has"

He had his head completely in his arms now. He kept mumbling something, but they were garbled through all of his emotion.
"Percy, please look at me," I kept my voice soft.
He picked his head up slowly. His eyes still wouldn't meet mine and he was gulping, trying not to break down any worse. It made my chest ache in pain.

"You will control your powers. You have to accept the past. You're not going to be the same after all of this. Nobody will. But we have to move on. It will still be with us, but at least we aren't living in it." I hoped it sounded good to him because I was rambling.

"How am I supposed to move on when I have nightmares every single night?" And itsnot just me Piper! It's everyone, don't bother with me. Help them."

"You have to try Percy." I wanted to say something to comfort him further, but I had no idea.

He went quieter at that. He didn't speak for a while. Just looking off into the distance. I wondered what he was thinking.

Under his breath I heard him mutter try. Try harder. He made a face and then sighed,
placing his hands on his face. We just sat there.

I heard campers begin moving from the pavilion and to their morning activities. I wasn't going to go until he moved though.

He looked out of his hands suddenly. He tried for a smile but it was weak. I tried giving back a reassuring one.

"Thanks Piper."

I was shocked. For what? I didn't do much of anything and it didn't seem his mind had been completely changed. He seemed a little bit more at ease though. Maybe.

"You're welcome Percy. Anything for a friend." I replied uneasily.

He bit his lip and nodded. "I'm going."

I laughed a little. "Where too?"

"I don't know. Just want to walk. Maybe go to the lake."

"Alright Percy."

I grabbed his hand and helped him up. He put his hands in the front of his hoodie pocket and began to walk. He didn't seem to notice I was still walking beside him.

He looked out of the side of his still red eyes.

"You're not going to let me go are you Piper?"

I chuckled. "Not today!"

He rolled his eyes and continued walking.

"Hey, you won't tell the others about .., this? Right?" He said suddenly .

"Not unless they ask me."

He didn't look too happy about that but he said thanks anyways.

"Anything for a friend Perc."

So that was pipers pov! Annabeth will be in the next update as well as some others. I'd say about 3-4 more chapters, this is just a mini fic. How is it?
