Edition 4 – Part 2: Character - Name That Character!

Since ‘Character’ was such a big topic, I’ve decided to break it up a bit… I find too many consecutive pages is too much for me to read at once. Another part is coming out after this, just got to complete the final touches.

Naming your character scales around 50/50 in the importance ranking. While it is paramount to have character names that are memorable, relevant and not some form of blasphemy, think of it in the same way you aren't able to choose your own name — own the name rather than be shaped by its meaning. However in terms of 抖阴社区, naming your characters correctly is paramount as too many writers get it so wrong.

Essentially, you must remember that the character's persona will shape the name; not the other way around. For example, in ‘Harry Potter’, you've got unheard of names like Minerva and Dumbledore, but when it comes to the most important character - you've got Harry. Catch my drift? And now, whenever I hear the word Harry, I think "oh ‘Harry’, like in Harry Potter". That's what you've got to do with you characters – shape their persona into something memorable and give them names that are easy to recall.
