Completely Unexpected ~Dark Link X Reader~

*Your P.O.V.*

You and Link rode through the night to get as much distance from Dark Link's domain. As the sun came up, you felt yourself drifting off. "Link? Can we stop for a bit? I feel like I'm going to fall asleep." "Hmm.. Yeah," he says, slowing down his horse, "It would be good for us all to get a few hours." Link steers Epona over to a shady grove of trees and dismounts to lay down blankets for the two of you to nap on.

"Just to warn you, I've been known to cuddle I my sleep. I uh found that out the hard way with one of my male friends. Let's just say.. breakfast was awkward." You push his shoulder and laugh; he chuckles along and lays down, rolling over so his back is facing you.

As tired as you were, you had a hard time falling asleep. There was this feeling in the pit of your stomach.. longing? Did you wish to be back in his arms? NO!, you thought, I let him toy with me two days too long. I can't have a relationship with him anyways, and especially since he killed my parents! I refuse! Somehow, through your rekindled anger, you fell asleep.

When you woke up the sun was high and someone's arm were holding you to their chest you moaned happily and looked at the hands wrapped around your waist, they were not the grayish tint you were expecting. You turned in the arms and came nose to nose with Link. Even though he and Shadow looked identical, you didn't get the same soothing feeling when you looked at Link's sleeping face.

You carefully maneuvered out of his grasp and walked over the to the backpack Julien had given you. Inside were: three apples, a loaf of bread, assorted nuts, a compass, an up to date map, a pouch of water, a few red rupees, and a change of clothes. You took out two of the apples and starting munching on one, the other you placed next to Link.

Right before you could shake him awake, he opened his eyes and stretched, grunting loudly. "Hey," he says groggy. "Apple?," you ask gesturing to the one you places by his side. "Don't mind if I do." You both chuckle and he take a huge bite. "So," he starts trying to be casual, "want to tell me what happened in Dark Link's castle?"

Any calmness you had was lost at the mention of his name, "No... I'd prefer to never talk about-" "(Y/n)," Link scoots closer, noticing you tear filled eyes, "Did he hurt you?" He scans over your body, then suddenly his face contorts into rage, "Did he touch you in any way?" You sniffle and shake you head, "No, no he didn't. Link -hic- I just don't want to talk about it. I want -sniff- to forget everything..." You pull your legs to your chest and rest your head on your knees.

He let's out a long sigh and slumps. "O.k., I understand," he says and stands up, "As long as you're well, that's all that matters. Let's focus on getting you home." He extends a hand and gives you a reassuring smile, whipping the remainder of your tears away you take his hand and smile back. I hope everyone at home is as understanding as Link..
