Whew, finally!!! Super duper late update, I know, its been hard to write lately. I'm ready for this to be over, thank goodness there's only a few chapters left. :p

I'm scared for feedback on this chapter lol, I'm not pleased with it. Not my worst, but not my best. But then again I always feel that way haha.

GUESS WHAT? My birthday is in two days!! Yay! On June 19th, an awesome person was born (me) lol, enjoy the chapter.

All that I could hear was the sound of my own deafening scream as I ran towards Carmen. It was as if I couldn't get to her fast enough. Everything happened in slow motion.

Carmen doubled over in pain, falling from her chair and clutching her stomach. Her eyes watered and she opened her mouth as if to say something or maybe yell, but she seemed too spooked to get anything out.

Vera also yelled something but I couldn't make out what it is that she said, as she went to Carmen's aid immediately.

Nearly five of the guards, including Tom, appeared within seconds, and they roughly grabbed Nadia by both arms, they didn't really struggle to carry her off. She was squirming around, trying to fight being taken away. "You ruined her life!" She yelled at Carmen. "You deserve to die!"

Finally, after what seemed like forever I made it to Carmen. Dropping down to my knees I grabbed her hand into mine.

"I'm so sorry. T-this is all my fault." Vera sobbed helplessly, which kind of surprised me. She didn't seem like a crier.

Carmen shook her head, wincing slightly. "No..." she trailed off as if it was too hard for her to speak. "I-it isn't your fault, Sam."

I felt my own eyes watering at the sight of my best friend in agony, but I willed myself to hold it all in.

"It is!" Vera responded, her voice laced with both anger and guilt. She said something else, but I wasn't actually listening. I was too busy staring at Carmen's stomach as blood continued to pour from her wound.

"Carm, listen to me, you're losing a lot of blood. Why aren't you healing?" usually, it'd take merely seconds for a werewolves wound to heal.

I picked up some paper towels from the nearest table and pressed it to Carmen's wound trying to stop the bleeding. She winced again in pain, a tear even escaping her eyes.

This was bad, this was really bad.

I was going to apologize when she spoke. "Roxie, it hurts." Her voice broke off at the end.

I sighed. "I know-I have to stop the blood."

Vera didn't seem to be paying attention; she was crying and mumbling to herself.

"Carmen, do you think you can shift? You're not healing fast enough; you need your wolf to speed to the process." When did I become a wolf doctor? Where the hell were the real doctors at, anyway?

She shook her head softly. "Wolf..."

I frowned. "What?"

"Wolfs bane." Was the last thing she said before her eyes closed and her body went limp.

I sucked in a deep breath, my heart immediately starting to pound. I was able to finally breathe when I saw that her chest was still rising and falling.

"Carmen?" my voice was watery.

"Get out of the way, kids. Now." I turned around to see three of the packs doctors approaching us. Well, it took them long enough.

I obeyed them, knowing that they were much more help to Carmen then I was. Vera seemed to be feeling the same way; she followed suit.

One of the female doctors wrapped some white cloth around her stomach, mumbling something to one of the male doctors. "We need to get her to the hospital." I heard one say, and before I knew it Carmen was in a car on her way to what I'm assuming was the hospital.
