"Hey, how was your free?" She asked, while grinning.

"I'll tell you about it at lunch." I deadpanned, causing the smile to drop off her face and a frown to take over her features.

"Is everything ok?" Brook asked in a concerned tone.

"Yeah, just want to show you something." I replied, and then focused on what Mr. Hayden was telling us about quadratic graphs. Once he had finished his explanation of them and had answered any questions people had, he set us to work on some exercises from the book.

"Whose idea was it to put three Maths lessons in a row, seriously, it's pure torture." Brook grumbled. Lock and I nodded, still in sync, making Brook look at us wide eyed. "That was so creepy, you guys, it was like twin telepathy, do it again!" She ordered. Lock and I simply looked at her with blank expressions.

"Seriously?" We said at the same time.

"Ahh! Too creepy!" Brook squeaked. Others in the class turned around, before rolling their eyes at her and continuing on with their work, I was pretty sure I saw Mr. Hayden doing the same, out of the corner of my eye.

"We don't have twin telepathy, though that would be pretty cool." Lock said.

"It would be cool, but I don't want to have to listen to all your dirty minded daydreams." I narrowed my eyes and stuck my tongue out. He put his hand to his chest in mock offence.

"Don't you think that's a bit hypercritical? What about all your nasty daydreams about Ollie? Ooo, Ollie, you're so hot, Ollie kiss m-" I cut off his high pitch impersonation by whacking him on the arm, making him laugh.

"Uh, no violence in my classroom, please! If you need to hit each other, take it outside." Mr. Hayden called from his desk at the front, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

"Yeah, Key, stop being so violent, you're so unlady-like." Lock teased and I raised my hand again to whack him.

"Miss Carroll, I said no more violence, I know he deserves it, but it's against school policy." Mr. Hayden said from beside his desk. Whoa, how'd he get there so quick? Eh, who cares? I raise my hand to him and he slapped back my high-five and chuckled.

"Hey, how come I deserve to be hit? Why are you encouraging her abusing me?" Lock whined and pouted like a child.

"Because you're so easy to pick on, Brother." I teased, ruffling his hair. He slapped my hands away and ran a hand through his dark locks to straighten it out.

We got back to work and it wasn't long before the bell rang and Mr. Hayden told us all to go for lunch. Seeing as though we were there after lunch, we all left our stuff in the classroom and just took our money to get food in the cafeteria. Brook and I queued up for the food, while Lock went to find us a table.

"So what did you want to show me?" Brook asked curiously.

"Ok, so during my free, I was in the study room with Lock and Ollie, Trent had been there too, but had just left, and I got a text." I got out my phone and handed it to her and she scrolled up through the conversation and began reading it while I continued to talk. "It was so weird, and the worst thing is that they cant even use basic punctuation correctly!" Brook gasped in mock horror, and then carried on reading them.

"These are really creepy, this photo of you and Ollie, who would do that? This person's a psychopath! Not only that, but they're a dumb psychopath!" I couldn't help but laugh at that and nodded my head in agreement. "Your comebacks are classic by the way." Brook laughed, and then gave me back my phone. We made it to the front of the queue and ordered our food. Once we had handed over our money and grabbed our trays, we made our way through the maze of tables, towards where Lock was sitting. When we reached it, I handed him the food I had bought him and sat down beside him. Brook sat down on my other side and we all tucked in to our meals.
