A.N: AU with human!Gabriel, human!Cas, brother!Sam and brother!dean
"A Holiday party," They said. "It'll be fun!" They said. Bull.
Next year you were going to print out business cards and hand them out to your family. "I'm Y/N. I'm single. I go to the local college."
Parties weren't really your thing. Too many people in one place. Your grandmother's house was filled with extended family. At least you had your brothers Sam and Dean and your friend Cas. They'd keep you company. Or so you thought.
Sam was talking to your uncle about lawyer stuff. Dean in the kitchen chugging eggnog and Cas was being interviewed my your grandmother. You looked walked over to the snack table to get some hot chocolate.
You'd gotten a cup when someone bumped into you. The hot liquid went all over your sweater. "What the hell?" You grabbed a wad of napkins and began to frantically dab at your top.
"Didn't see you there." Someone chuckled.
"Some help would be nice." You muttered. You looked at who had bumped into you. The stranger looked about your age.
Golden hair tucked behind his ears and amber eyes. Damn the guy was gorgeous. But you'd never seen him before. "Want a sugar cookie? Made them myself. They're as sweet as you."
"Dumb pick up lines won't get you anywhere." You scoffed. "I've never seen you before. Who are you?"
"They call me Gabriel." He told you. "But you can call me anytime. My brother invited me here."
"And he is?"
"Your buddy Cas."
You walked away, ignoring the sugar cookie the guy was holding. You marched right up to Cas.
"Is Cas short for Casper?" You aunt asked.
"No, it's short for Castiel. My parents are rather religious..." Cas explained before you pulled him away.
"You invited your brother?" You spat.
"Gabriel? Yes. He said he wasn't doing anything this weekend so I suggested he come here. He's not that bad once you get to know him." He told you.
Gabriel walked over to the two of you and used Castiel's shoulder as an arm rest. "What's happening Captain Side-Eyes, Fun Size?" He grinned.
"I am not Fun Sized." You muttered through gritted teeth. This guy was getting on your nerves. Still, for some reason you couldn't stop looking at him.
He laughed. "Aw, don't be so sore. Here, I got you another cup of cocoa." He handed you the Styrofoam cup.
You were a bit shocked but you took it anyways. "Thanks."
-_-_-_-_-
Almost three hours later most of your family had left leaving only you, your brothers, Cas and...ugh. Gabriel.
The snow was falling heavily now. You could barely see outside. Big flakes flew by, not dancing anymore.
When the carols on the radio suddenly stopped, you walked over to see what was going on.
"There's a small blizzard in the area. Most roads are closed. Locals are being warned to stay indoors until it's cleared up considerably. Icy conditions-" The radio shut off.
The lights went out, leaving you in almost complete darkness.
"Looks like you five will have to stay the night with me." Your grandmother said.
Sam and Dean looked at each other. "I call the guest room!" They yelled in unison before running upstairs.
"There's two beds up there boys." Your grandmother yelled after them. "I'll grab you three some sleeping bags. You can stay in the living room." She left the room.
"Woo hoo! Sleep over!" Gabriel grinned. "Wanna play spin the bottle?" He asked you.
You couldn't hold it in anymore. "Are you kidding me?" You yelled. "Why'd I have to be stuck here with you?!" You stormed out of the room and marched to the bathroom.
You grabbed the toothbrush that your grandma had for you incase of visits. Is it possible to brush your teeth angrily? If so, you managed to do it.
You stormed back into the living room and got into a sleeping bag, turning away from the boys.
An hour of awkward silence later, Gabriel got up to get a glass of water. You rolled over and closed your eyes, pretending to be asleep.
He came back and sat down next to his brother. "Cas, you awake?" He asked.
"Mmm? Yeah sure." Cas muttered sleepily.
"Does Y/N hate me?" He asked.
"I don't know. Maybe. You did spill a hot beverage on her, flirt with her and call her nicknames." Cas suggested.
"I didn't mean to. I saw her and freaked out. Went straight to emergency douche mode." What was he saying? Did he actually like you?
You heard Cas sigh. "You need to relax. Be nice to her. Perhaps if you do so she'll like you back."
So Gabe did like you. You weren't sure what to feel. Your brain said "I don't believe this crap." But your heart was screaming "Shut up, He likes me!"
Gabriel sighed and rolled over. "I'll try again in the morning. Night Cas."
"Goodnight Gabriel." Cas said.
"Night Gabe." You giggled.
"Goodnight Y/N." He said cluelessly. Five, four, three, two... "WAIT WHAT?!"
