He knelt down by the edge and looked at me with worry. I faintly heard him yell my name.
Ready to taste what you've dished? I asked him mentally, using a phrase my dad used a lot when karma hit someone.
I sprung up and grabbed his arm, pulling him in with me. He, unlike me, actually had time to scream before he was under water with me. I smiled at him, my hands on his waist. He looked pissed. Like, absolutely pissed.
We surfaced and I still had my hands on his waist.
"You started this, remember," I said.
"Shut up." He said back. I kissed him, knowing he wouldn't be mad after we kissed.
I usually kissed him instead of verbally apologising, and he did, too. It was a lot less fluffy than saying sorry. But I didn't have to say sorry to him. He was the one who pulled me in, after all.
"The queen has arrived, bitches!" Nose PIercing yelled, walking in with Skunk and Short Guy.
Tyler looked back at them and laughed.
"Jack's my only queen!" He yelled at her. "He's the only queen I'll ever bow to!"
Nose Piercing threw her stuff next to ours and ran towards us.
"Excuse you, Ukulele Boy, I am a princess not a queen." He responded. "Frank's the real queen." He muttered the last part. Short Guy looked at him with a questioning look and pulled out his headphones.
"What?"
"Nothing," Tyler said, laughing when Skunk Boy picked Nose Piercing up off the ground by her waist and stood over the edge, threatening her.
"My hair, Jackson Barakat! Don't you dare!"
Short Guy walked over and jumped in next to me, smiling at us. He had a piercing too. Two, actually. One lip and one nose. With the rule against facial piercings, there seriously were a lot of people with nose piercings and other facial piercings. It was kind of funny, in a way.
"Okay." Skunk - Jack, was it? - said coolly before jumping in with her. Were they dating?
"Are they dating?" I whisper-asked Tyler, echoing my thoughts.
"I don't think so," he whispered back.
I took off my shirt while the last two people walked in. I was beginning to feel a little less self-conscious and less worried about the situation now.
The Mexican and Hayley - with a new hair colour, as promised - walked in and smiled at us. I hadn't realised it, but we were all laughing and being idiots and we were all really close to each other. Especially Tyler and I.
"A party?" Mexican Guy asked, his voice deeper than I expected. "Without the main man?" He joked before jumping in.
"I'm Vic Fuentes, by the way," Vic, the Mexican dude, said rather flirtatiously. Tyler put his arms around my waist and his head on my shoulder, looking at Vic.
"No," he said. He was kind of cute when he got defensive. I laughed and put my hand on his head. "Mine." He looked at Vic and then the other people, besides Hayley, with squinted, accusing eyes.
Jack, I think, and Jenny? looked at him with confusion and held their hands up. I hugged Tyler awkwardly as he was behind me still. He was really warm. Of course, I already knew this since he always laid against me when we slept, but this was different.
I always slept in just my boxers, sometimes pyjama bottoms, whereas Tyler always dressed in pyjama bottoms and a t-shirt. I had never actually been skin-to-skin contact with him in a situation anything like this before. As cliche as it sounds, it actually gave me slight butterflies.
