"Which ones this?" I asked Brook as she petted the dog that was on her and watched the movie.

"That's Yak, this ones Moose." She replied, not once taking her eyes off the TV screen. It was quite relaxing to just watch the movie and stroke the bear on top of us, so it wasn't long before I was feeling tired and needed some energy back in me.

"Where might I find the beverages?" I asked Brook, pushing the dog's head from my lap and getting off the sofa.

"In the fridge there are juices and soft drinks and there's water in the tap. Glasses are in the cupboard next to the fridge." She said monotonously, with her eyes still glued to the screen. I walked over to the fridge to find can upon can of Diet Coke making me squeal. Yes! My addiction can be satisfied, I thought, with an evil laugh reverberating through my mind.

"Anyone else want a drink?" I called.

"Water for me, please!" Emily called back.

"Diet Coke, please!" Brook and Amanda shouted in unison.

"Same for me!" Came from Lucy.

"Ava, you want anything?" I asked, grabbing four cans from the fridge and opening the cupboard for a glass.

"Nah, I'm good, thanks." She replied as I shoved the glass under the tap and waited for it to fill up. I walked over to the sofas with all the drinks either in hand or under my arm, before handing them out to everyone. I lifted Yak's head up from my place on the sofa, before sitting down and placing the dog's head on my lap.

It wasn't long before the movie ended and we were sitting leant into the coffee table eating nachos and salsa.

"How about we play a game?" Emily suggested between mouthfuls.

"What game?" Lucy asked her, looking eager.

"How about the classic ice-breaker and clichéd truth or dare? See who can handle it." She stated, with an evil tone. Creepy.

"Yes! Let's do it!" Brook cheered. "I'll ask first. So, Key, truth or dare?"

I pondered for a second, before answering. "Dare." I then sat there awaiting my fate.

"Quick! Think of something brutal!" Brook screeched, making me cover my ears.

"Flipping heck, Brook! Are you trying to make us deaf?" Amanda shouted, smacking Brook on the arm.

"Ooo! How about this!" Brook cried, before whispering something in Amanda's ear.

"Perfect." Amanda said evilly with a grin spread across her face. Uh oh was all that went through my head. I couldn't help but be worried about what they had planned.

"Key, we have decided that you must spread butter all over your face, and then cover it with sprinkles, before letting Yak and Moose lick it all off!" Brook told me with an evil glint in her eyes. WHAT?

"Wh-how-you want me to- huh?" I stuttered.

"You heard me, Girl! Go get that butter and I will get the sprinkles!" Brook ordered, pulling me to my feet and pushing me over to the fridge. I got the butter out and returned to the sofas with Brook, who had a tube of sprinkles and a spatula in hand. Amanda grabbed the butter from me and popped open the lid, before grabbing the spatula and digging it into the butter. She then proceeded to slather the butter on my face right up to the hairline, before proclaiming she was finished and let Brook get to work with the sprinkles.

"Okay, tilt your head back, so they don't all fall off at once because of stupid gravity." I did as she said and then she gently began pouring the sprinkles all over my face. Some rolled off onto the floor, which the dogs quickly ate. They had become interested when the butter came out and were sitting by us just watching the food get stuck onto my face.

"Okay, I'm done with the sprinkles, now lie down on the floor so Yak and Moose can lick it off!" Brook instructed. I slowly lowered myself to the floor, making sure my head was still tilted back, and then lay down. I could see Amanda and Brook holding the dogs collars, ready to set them loose, whilst Ava smirked down at me with her phone videoing the whole thing with Lucy and Emily already laughing.

"Right, release them in three... two... one... NOW!" Brook screamed, releasing the hounds. They both bolted over and I quickly closed my eyes as their tongues slobbered up my face. When they were done, I got up and Emily handed me a towel, which I scrubbed over my face.

"Alright who's next?" I said, with plots of revenge in my head. "Seeing as though I just did the dare, I think I get to ask next. So, Emily, truth or dare?"

"Truth." She replied, making us all groan.

"You're boring!" Brook complained.

"Well, I chose truth so give me a question." Emily demanded, before brushing her ginger hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear.

"Here's one, why haven't you told Kent you like him?" Ava asked her. Oh, that was a good one! Emily blushed almost as red as her hair.

"Um, well, you see, uh-"

"Just answer the question!" We all ordered, making her blush further.

"I'm scared of what he'll say..." She trailed off, looking at the ground.

"Are you blind? That boy has had a crush on you since Year Eight science! What he would say is more likely going to be 'I like you, too' than anything else!" Brook ranted. Emily looked up in shock.

"He does?"

"Why is it so obvious to everyone, but the two of you?" Amanda sighed.

The rest of the evening carried on this way with truth or dare and other silly games. Although I must say, Ava was slightly more withdrawn from the conversations, especially when it turned to the whole 'who do you like scenario?' though I just think she's kind of shy. It was around midnight when Lucy fell asleep and we were all yawning and heavy eyed.

"Remember there's the gathering at Kent's tomorrow." Brook reminded us tiredly. I picked up Lucy and we made our way upstairs to Brook's room. It was large enough for us all to sleep in there, with three sharing the massive king-sized bed and three on the floor. Amanda, Lucy and I had the bed, whilst Brook, Ava and Emily had blow-up beds on the floor with sleeping bags. We all flopped down, not caring if we broke the thing about staying up all night, but it had been a long and tiring first week and I was ready for a good nights sleep. We had all changed into our pyjamas earlier after we had had our take-away pizza, so we were already set.

"Night, guys." I yawned and everyone responded the same with their own muffled or groaning 'goodnight'.

I yawned again and tucked the quilt around me and fell into an unconscious abyss.
