~The day after Rob said he was leaving~

"I can't believe it!" I sighed. I was at Ren's house with Gabby.

Ren nodded. "We were good mates. He's a good friend."

"Hear, hear." Gabby cheered. There was a long pause. Gabby patted Ren's head. "So, you're Momma and yo Papa are getting married?" She laughed.

"Yeah!" Ren said excitedly. I remembered how he used to get - super excited. I remembered when he first met me: I was constantly called a freak, weirdo, oddball. Only because I liked school work. Ren met me and didn't think I was strange. Not at all. He embraced my 'smartness' and got really excited every time I came top in another school test. He was uber cute.

"Still is." I muttered. Gabby and Ren swiveled their heads on me.

"What?" They chorused. I reddened.

"Nothing!" I answered, getting flustered. I pushed the balls of my hands into the edge of my knee cap, staring at the floor.

Renwent on about the wedding. I felt excited for him, and I was happy that he was. God, i sound like some lovesick monster. Just because I know how I feel about him now. I need to just think about these feelings, I'm not having one of those 'Beck' crushes again! I thought determinedly and set my mind back onto the wedding.

~The eve of the wedding~

"So you'll come to my house tomorrow, three PM?" Ren asked down the phone.

"Yes, yes. Stop fussing. I'm bringing my camera so I can show everyone you in a tux.2 I laughed at the thought.

"It's that funny? I thought I'd be pretty damn hot." Renchuckled. I imagined him grinning. Yes, you probably will. My thoughts whispered to him.

"Let's go with that." I said I thought he'd look damn hot, even if it was with heavy sarcasm.

I picked up the invite once again and looked over the details. "Nancy, will pick me up at around eleven. Doesn't the reception of the wedding finish at eleven thirty?"

"Yes." Ren paused. "Hey, you still didn't tell me what you're wearing."

I laughed. "Ah, you'll have to wait my dear friend. Patience is virtue; virtue is a grace."

"- and if you ever say that again, I'll throw a meringue in your face, oh great and powerful sensei." Ren laughed down the phone.

Nancy called me for dinner as I laughed. "Alright Nancy! Listen Ren, I'll be there at three. Sharp. Okay?"

"Okay."

"Oh and Ren?" I said quickly.

He paused. "Yeah?"

I smiled. "Congrats; and it'll be amazing. You and your family will be amazing."

".... Thanks Hopey. Night."

"Night Ren."

I hung up.

As I took my plate out to the kitchen, I noticed my dress hung up in the hallway. I hope I'd look okay.

~The wedding~

((PLAY ENCHANTED - TAYLOR SWIFT))

I got out of Nancy's Maserati GranCabrio (she'd ditched the old crappie one and got this one with her raise- major moral booster) and started my way up the pavement to where Ren, pageboy's, flower girls and bridesmaids all lined up.
