Chapter Seventy
"I'm so sorry Mimi," Louis says calmly as he squeezes my arms tighter around my waist.
It's as if he knew that that was what I was going to say. I guess, when I told him that I was drugged and that I couldn't stop him, I guess it was made obvious what was going to happen. That night ruined me. I lost all confidence I had in myself.
I couldn't go outside because I was scared that people knew. My one and only friend, Alexia, found out and decided to unfriend me because she thought that I had done it willingly. She didn't even stick around to hear my side of the story. She just assumed that I was that desperate to have sex that I got drunk and did it with some random guy.
Other then that, I didn't eat for at least a week. My mother beat me more then normal. I had no one that I could talk too about this. I was the laughing stock at school because everyone found out. I cried myself to sleep most nights. And I was officially never going near alcohol again.
"I'm sorry that any of this ever happened to you Mimi. I am going to do my very best to protect you from all the bad in this world. I am going to try and protect you from the fans. I want to keep you safe Mimi," Louis mumbles in my ear as I feel a few splashes on my shoulder.
This is the second time today that I have seen Louis cry, and it still breaks my heart. It still rips my heart into tiny shreds before they get placed on the ground to be trampled upon. I hate seeing Louis cry, and being the reason for his tears just makes it ten million times worse.
"You can't protect me from everything Louis," I sigh as I reach up and wipe away some tears that are rolling down my cheeks.
"But I can try sweetheart. I can try," he mumbles before pressing a kiss onto my shoulder.
I feel my heart rate speed up as his lips press against my skin, his hair tickling the side of my face. I could get used to this. Waking up every morning to see Louis sound asleep. Kissing him awake after I finish making him breakfast. Cuddling with him on the couch as we watch movies.
"As long as you never listen to Liam's advice again, I think you will do just fine," I joke.
I feel Louis' arms tighten around my waist again as he relives that memory, "I am never listening to the idiot again. I am not pushing you away anymore. I love you way too much to hurt you like that. And besides, I'm too selfish to let anyone else have you."
When he says the last sentence, he begins to tickle my sides, sending me into a fit of giggles. I try to get away from him but instead I find myself sprawled on the floor, my face smashed up against the soft carpet. I try to push myself up but before I can use any of my strength to move, Louis sits on top of me, pinning me to the floor.
"Ugh. Louis get off," I say as I try to wiggle free.
"How about, no," Louis chuckles.
Giving up, I flop onto the carpet, the strands tickling my nose, "Please Louis?"
"I already said no Mimi," Louis laughs.
Deciding to try from a different angle, I say in a small voice, "Please LouLou?"
"Not the puppy dog eyes! I can't resist the puppy dog eyes!" Louis screams while covering his eyes with one of his hands.
I let a giggle escape my mouth as Louis falls sideways, collapsing onto the ground. I take my chance and stand up before running towards the door. I fling it open before running down the hall. I see a closet so I quickly open that and hide in there before Louis can find me.
"Mimi? Mimi where are you?" Louis asks while sounding genuinely confused.
I place a hand over my mouth to stifle the giggles that are trying to escape. I sit on the ground in the closet as quietly as possible, listening to any signs of Louis getting closer. Finally I hear footsteps but the quickly vanish as he walks the other way.
"Mimi, come out, come out wherever you are!" Louis screeches as he walks through the house.
I sit there, my knees tucked up to my chest for at least ten minutes, before I finally hear his footsteps again. I let out a small sigh of relief as the small part of me that thought he left disappears. I can hear his footsteps get closer, until the stop just outside the closet.
"I'm being completely serious Mimi, I actually don't know where you are," Louis shouts, his voice sounding genuine.
I push the door open a crack, until I can see Louis standing there, his face holding a look of pure terror. He really doesn't know where I am. He actually thinks that I left. He actually thinks that something has happened to me.
I push the door open all the way as quietly as possible, before standing up and jumping on his back, "Hey Louis."
Louis lets out the girliest scream imaginable as I land on his back, "Oh my god! Mimi! Never do that again!"
Louis grabs my arms and pulls me around so I'm clinging to his front like a monkey. Then he proceeds to walk forwards so I am trapped between him and cold, white wall. I feel my breathing pick up as Louis moves so his nose is touching my own.
"I was actually going to ask you this before but you ran away," Louis mumbles as he looks into my eyes.
I quickly poke my tongue out, touching Louis' lips with the tip of it, "Yes."
"I'm being serious here Mim. Please let me finish," Louis laughs as he brushes some hair out of my eyes.
"Okay," I say quietly.
"As I was saying, I was going to ask you this before so I'll ask you now. You know I love you right?" When he sees me nod lightly, he continues, "So I was wondering, would you do me the amazing honours and be my girl friend?"
OHHHHHHH! THAT'S WHAT'S UP! THINGS ARE GOING DOWN! THINGS ARE HEATING UP!
These two are my OTP not even lying.
QOTC: Who would you rather be, Bella Swan or Katniss Everdeen?
I would probably be Bella Swan because there is no way I would be able to cope seeing that many people die right in front of me. And I wouldn't be able to live with myself by watching Prim die.
Also, I will update again tonight, I promise. I'm just going to have a little bit of a break for a while.
ILYSM!
SWAG ON!
