I'm Not Losing Him

[Mark's POV]

I woke up, but I couldn't see a thing. I was blindfolded, tied up, and my mouth was taped up. I tried to scream,  but it wasn't loud enough to make any difference.

"Oh, looks like he's awake." I heard a deep, male voice say. His voice gave me the chills. I started to move rapidly, trying to somehow manage to escape the grasp of the rope.
"Don't even try to escape. It's not worth your time."
He quickly ripped the tape off of my mouth, making me yell from the pain.
"You can yell all you want." He said calmly, which confused me, for I thought he'd laugh at my pain.
"Who... Who ARE you exactly?"
"I can't tell you. Come on, you've played videogames, I thought you would know how these things go."
"Are you going to kill me?" I asked in an afraid tone.
"No. That's not the plan, at least."
"Why am I here?"
"I can't let you know that. Let's just say... Hmm... It's a test."
"A test?"
"You'll figure it out in time. But I must go attend to some business."
He took my blindfold and left the room. I looked around, as the wall I was facing was full of what seemed to be television screens. They were letting me view certain locations I didn't recognize or understand. Until I saw Jack.

Jack was shaking, sitting in the corner of a room full of what seemed to be mannequins. He was holding a knife, and he seemed to be fearing for his life. I look around at some of the camera views. Another one showed a room full of dolls, another room full of insects, there was a hallway that didn't seem to end, and so on and so forth. Then it clicked: They are making Jack live through some of his fears and nightmares.

"Jack? Jack!" I yelled. "Can you hear me?"
No response. I guess it was a no. I searched for a way out, some way to reach him, but it was no use. I just had to sit there, and watch him suffer. This is what true torture is.
