Alright Alright, I am NOT stopping to write my book.
BUT- there is nothing that I can do for those of you who keep telling me to make the chapters longer because if it jogs your memory- you guys are the ones who told me that you wanted more than 15 chapters in this book and if you want that to be possible, then... The chapters HAVE to be shorter..
see, so I hope you understand and enjoy the rest of the book as much as I enjoy writing it😁😁😊😊😊

MARCEL'S POV:
----------------------"Come on honey, the car is going to leave," I heard my mother's voice calling me from outside.
"Alright, alright, coming mom," I whispered, not even sure if she heard me because of the fact that I spoke so softly.
I walked down the stairs and to the front door of my house.
I turned around and took in a deep breathe, taking my very last look around my house.
All the memories.
Of my father.
Of my sister.
Gone.
We were leaving the house and leaving all the memories behind.
I was absolutely horrified at the fact that mother decided to leave this home, with all the attachments that we both have to it.
I remember all of the fun times that my sister and I had shared in this house.
I remember the tree house that my father and I had built together in the back yard. Boy, did we have the best memories in that tree house.

"Come on Marcel, put it there quickly!" Gemma giggled while shouting at me from the open end of the tree house that she was standing in.
"Okay Gem, hang on, it is actually very heavy, you know," I whined as I pulled the small trampoline across the back yard to the spot on the ground just under where my sister was standing above me.
"Alright, now move out of the way" Gemma called as she made her way closer to the edge of the tree house.
"Gem, be careful not to fall off!" I yelled, worried for my sister's safe being.
"Relax Marcel, I know exactly what I'm doing," Gemma laughed as she moved closer and closer.
"One, Two... Three!" Gemma counted, before jumping off of the edge of the tree house and falling down to the trampoline below.
But, instead of landing onto the trampoline, Gemma ended up bouncing off of the trampoline and landing in the pool, right next to the tree.
"Oh my gosh!" Gemma yelled from inside the pool.
"Gem! Gem?! Are you okay?" I yelled, running over to the edge of the pool.
"No! I'm all wet Marc! Now come and help me out," She responded as she paddled her way over to the edge of the pool.
"Give me your hand, Gem," I told her, attempting to heave her heavy body out from the pool.
But, instead of pulling Gemma out, Gemma ended up pulling me in with her.
We both burst into a pit of laughter.
"Gem! Now we are both wet!" I laughed as we made our way out of the pool.
"Well yeah, but that was fun, don't you think?" She asked
me, as we made our way inside to dry off."Yeah, Gem, that was Awesome!" I exclaimed while hugging my sister.
"You are honestly the best little brother, you know that Marc?" she said hugging me back.
"Oh I know! And you, Gem, are the best sissy," I answered her.

On the other hand, I was actually quite relieved and slightly glad that was leaving this place once and for all.
I wouldn't have to be haunted by the not-so-pleasant memories anymore.
I looked around the house one more time before making my way out the front door- for the last time ever.

"Tell me again why we are moving so far away?" I whined to my mother on the flight from Cheshire, England, where I used to live, to California, America.
"Because, Marcel, we need a new beginning, I feel that is it finally time for us to start over, don't you?
Don't you want that for us both, honey?" My mother asked, with so much enthusiasm present in her features.I understood her intentions completely.
She wanted to get away from all the bad memories and make new, better ones.
I wanted that too, I guess.
It could be a better environment for me.
Maybe this was my big shot!
Maybe it was a chance for me to finally make some friends and live a normal happy life, without feeling constantly depressed about the people and memories surrounding me.
"Yeah, I guess so mom," I replied, sighing before I continued. "I think this will be good for us."
"So do I honey, so do I, now rest up Marc, it's a long trip, and we are going to need all the energy we can get once we arrive, " She told me, kissing me on my forehead.
"Mom?" I began, hesitating for a moment before speaking.
"Yes dear?" She asked me.
"Do, d-do you still miss dad and Gem?" I turned my head the opposite way, in order to hide my expression from my mother.
"Of course, Marcel, I miss them more and more, every single day." She responded. "And you know, I think they would be happy to know that we are finally continuing with our lives, don't you agree?"
"Do you really think that they are happy, even though we are leaving them behind?" I whimpered.
"I truly do believe that they are happy, and we aren't leaving them behind, you know. They will always be with us, right here, and here." She said, tapping the space on her chest wherein her heart lay, before repeating the same action on my own chest.
