The pair had gone on many rides, all one after another. There was barely any time to spare after they finished one ride before Tyler spotted another twinkly coaster he wanted to go on. He seemed to have boundless energy but, just seeing the look on Tyler's face, Josh didn't mind how many times he felt like he might throw up.
They had just gotten off of another coaster when Josh literally collapsed from exhaustion, laughing loudly at how happy he was with Tyler tonight. How perfect this night was.
The dusty ground was dirtying up the back of all of his clothing but he was smiling too much to care at all. Tyler had run in front of him a few feet before realizing that Josh wasn't right behind him. The floral boy giggled as he tiredly ran back to where Josh was lying on the ground.
What Tyler didn't notice was the large rock stuck in the ground beneath him, which caused him to stumble and actually land on top of Joshua. Both boys' faces flushed as they stared at one another. Tyler giggled sheepishly as he rested his head on Josh's chest while the latter was mentally screaming at how gentle this boy was.
Tyler looked up at Josh with rosy cheeks and whispered "Jisssshhhhhhh." Which caused Josh to look down at Tyler and smile responding with a little grunt.
"I'm hungrrrrryyyyyy." He grinned at Tyler's whiny voice and wiggled the small boy off of him. Josh dusted himself off and stood up, stretching out his arm to Tyler, who was comfortably sitting criss cross applesauce with his hands in his lap and smiling widely.
"Come on you bean. Don't you want food?" Tyler nodded quickly and soon they were both eating classic fair foods, Tyler with strawberry cotton candy and Josh with a funnel cake dusted with powdered sugar.
They were walking side by side around the park, both starving out of their minds. "Hey, give me a bite." Josh reached over to pull off some pink fluff from Tyler but before he could even get close to it, Tyler had practically sprinted away from him. "NO WAY!" Josh rolled his eyes because they both knew that the stubborn boy was getting cotton candy one way or another.
Joshua took off running in Tyler's direction with one arm out and the other holding his funnel cake. Tyler's eyes widened as he started to run in the other direction. "COME HERE YOU NUGGET!" Josh was stumbling about the small space he was chasing the cheeky floral boy, kicking up fair amounts of dust in the process, while Tyler was practically running for his life but giggling every time he looked behind his back at the beloved boy that was running after him.
Just when Josh was about to catch up to Tyler, the smaller boy turned around, and stuffed his pink candyfloss into Josh's mouth. Josh stopped almost dead in his tracks as his hand flew up to his mouth, clutching the white paper stick the cotton candy was attached to, and pulling it, a large tuft of pink fuzz left in his mouth.
Tyler stood in front of him, his hand covering his mouth as he laughed with squinting eyes. His eyes were shining and his cheeks were practically glowing from contentment.
The two both locked eyes as Josh spoke with a mouthful of candy, "Twanks." Tyler bit his lip, eyeing the cake in Josh's other hand as he plucked it from him, delicately pulling a piece off of it and stuffing it in his mouth. Powdered sugar and cinnamon successfully made a mess all over Tyler's red face. Josh chuckled a bit as he finished his bit of cotton candy. Tyler tilted his head like a confused puppy. "What, Jish?"
Josh smiled and motioned with his palm against his cheek as he spoke. "You've got stuff on your face, Ty." The boy's fingers brushed across his face in an attempt to get the sugar off by himself, his eyebrows furrowing a bit in frustration as he still felt crumbs lightly scrub against his skin. Tyler looked to Josh for confirmation when he was done. "There. D-Did I get it?"
