"WHAT DID YOU DO?"
Josh chuckled sweetly as Tyler stood in front of his locker. "Well hello to you too, baby."
Tyler's mouth was agape as he shut Josh's locker and came closer to him. He reached out and slowly began to card his fingers through Josh's freshly dyed hair, in awe.
The (now) pink haired boy figured it would be a fun idea to surprise his boyfriend with his new hair color. But he was suddenly beginning to think that maybe it wasn't as good of an idea as he thought.
Tyler pulled his hand away, eyes still wide. With the look on his boyfriend's face, it was hard for Joshua not to feel worried. "Do you not like it?"
Tyler shook his head madly, his eyes widening as he hoped that Josh wasn't offended by his shock. "N-No, no! I love it, Joshua." He smiled widely.
Tyler couldn't even begin to comprehend how good Josh looked with light pink hair. He had the longest list of things that Josh did that really drove Tyler crazy, one of them being how he could look gorgeous in everything; including every hair color.
Tyler grinned as he began to run his hands through Josh's hair again, making the pink haired boy's heart burst. The smallest things about Tyler made his knees buckle and his body warm. For instance, the smile he was proudly wearing practically paralyzed him. The emotions he felt towards Tyler were so strong sometimes, he thought he might faint. Man, he really did.
Josh smiled in a daze as he reached up and held Tyler's chin, causing his boyfriend to look down from his hair to his face. They both smiled as Josh leaned in and gently connected their lips.
Joshua's heart swelled, almost unsure what to do with himself. His lungs began to ache as his lips molded softly with the brunet's, refusing to detach himself from the small boy. But for some reason, he was afraid that he might tell Tyler that he loved him if he pulled away.
"No kissing in the hallway!" Was yelled at the back of Josh's head, causing him to break the kiss out of embarrassment. Tyler was even in a bit of shock at Josh's actions. They both turned and saw Lynn laughing as she walked over, her heavy black boots echoing.
She playfully hit Josh on the arm with her binder as she passed them, starting to walk backwards. "The bell rang a couple minutes ago, you guys should get going." She laughed as she started to run down the hallways that the two realized were beginning to empty out.
Josh leaned down and pecked Tyler on the lips one more time before clasping his hand, and walking him to his class.
He'd worry about his feelings later.

Josh was leaning against his car in the school's parking lot, waiting for his boyfriend like he did every day since they got together. Tyler soon came bouncing out of the school and running into his arms, almost causing them to slide on the snow. The tall boy chuckled as his arms wrapped around Tyler tightly, who was smiling into Josh's chest. His heart was warm.
"What's with you?" Josh laughed as Tyler detached himself from him, shrugging. "I like you." He said simply, cheeks red from the cold wind blowing. Josh held him, smiling. "I like you too, baby."
The words tasted a bit different as he said them. Josh still meant it of course, but 'I like you' didn't feel even close to enough for what Tyler made him feel. They weren't the words he really wanted to say.
"Come on, I don't want you to freeze out here." Josh said instead.
Tyler smiled and skipped to the other side of the car, Josh quickly turning on the heat as he got in. The brunet pulled the sleeves of his knit sweater down before lacing his fingers with Josh's. Tyler's excitement quickly died down as he looked down to the floor, smile slowly sliding off his face.
"J-Josh? Can, Can I ask you something?" Tyler's eyebrows were furrowed as he spoke hesitantly. The pink haired boy squeezed Tyler's hand. "Of course, always. What's up?"
Tyler swallowed nervously, keeping his eyes towards the floor. "W-Well, m-my parents are having this really big fancy party, you- you know for the holidays and stuff. And, and I really don't wanna be there for it so... can I be at... at your house? For Christmas Eve?"
Josh felt the growing ball of anxiety dissipate from his chest as he smiled genuinly. He gently tipped Tyler's face up with his fingers, making him look Josh in the eye. "Of course, darling. You're always welcome at my house. But just know my siblings are gonna be there too. Is that okay?"
Tyler had only met Josh's parents, and that was only once and for a couple of minutes. Josh had forgotten something at home one morning after picking Tyler up for school, and the small boy had merely said hello to his parents before they were out the door again. But meeting Josh's entire family? Including his siblings that were his age? The thought already frightened him.
"Y-Yeah. I'd love to meet, meet them." Tyler smiled falsely. Josh laughed lightly, and the brunet's heart fell out of his chest. "I know you're lying but don't be nervous. They'll love you. My parents already do."
"They, They've barely m-met me." Tyler smiled. Josh leaned over and kissed him on the cheek sloppily before starting the car. "They know a good one when they see it." Before Tyler could even question him or wonder what that meant, Josh pulled out of the school's lot and spoke again.
"Speaking of Christmas, though. What do you want for your present?" The rosy boy looked over at Tyler with a smile, who merely shook his head and looked down. "I don't want a-anything. Thank you though, Joshua."
Josh chuckled. "I'm sorry darling, but Christmas is non-negotiable. I would be an extremely awful boyfriend if I didn't get you a gift." He looked over at the boy in his passenger seat, grinning knowingly. Tyler played with Josh's fingers. "N-No you wouldn't, Joshy." Tyler smiled shyly.
Joshua seemed unfazed. There was a beat of silence before the brunet spoke again. "Do you really have to get me a gift?" Tyler asked. Josh nodded with a smile.
Tyler grinned softly, looking to the ground. He shrugged his shoulders. "W-Well, I really just wan-wanna spend time with you then. You, you know? On Christmas day?"
Josh beamed at the brunet, pulling the boy's hand across the center console to kiss the back of it. "I guess it looks like we're having a sleepover Christmas Eve then, baby."
