Sabo's POV (still in the flashback)

Sabo looked around the mansion. The light that was on in the huge house was coming from the dining room. "So your family just left?"

(Name) nodded. "The only bad thing about it is that I'm alone..."

"Why don't I stay here with you?"

"Ehhh? Don't you have to go home, too?"

Sabo grinned. "Nah! It's ok since my parents aren't home half the time! Since it's the summer, my tutor requested to be off and my parents had been going to meetings and parties every day. They won't even know I'm gone!" he exclaimed. When he saw your eyes glistening, he knew that he had made you happy.

"Ok then! I guess I need to get a room ready for you later on! For now, let's eat!"

"Great, I'm starving!"

(Name) sweat-dropped. "You're always starving..." You set the flowers in a vase filled with water and set it on the table. "There! Let me quickly get you a set of silverware and a bowl."

(Name) left the dining room, leaving Sabo to drool at the table. "Wow... (Name) sure is good at cooking, at least it smells good! I bet that it tastes really good, too..." Suddenly, he heard loud clashes of things breaking and a pitched scream. "(Name)!" He quickly ran towards the source of the noise.

Your POV

"Ow... curse my clumsiness!" You rubbed your head. "Now I got a whole mess to clean up and dishes to buy..." You started to pick up the pieces of broken bowls.

"(Name)!" Sabo came into the kitchen. "Are you ok? Yikes! You're bleeding!"

"I am?" You looked at your arms and noticed scratches running down from you shoulder to your elbows. "Heh, heh, oops!"

Sabo picked you up. You gave a surprised yelp. "Sabo!"

"Before you continue picking this up, let's first treat your arms!" He sits you on a kitchen stool. "Tell me where the medical supplies are at."

You told him and as soon as he got it, he started treating your arms. "It's going to sting a little," he warned you.

"O-okay." You winced upon contact of the alcohol. Sabo tried his best to wipe your wounds as quickly as possible and finished with wrapping your upper arms.

"Thank you!" You looked at your arms. "But now I feel like a mummy."

Sabo's stomach growled, reminding you about the missing meal. "Now can we eat?"

You giggled. "Of course!"

After dinner, which Sabo declared that it was the best soup he had ever tasted, the two of picked up the scattered pieces of porcelain and then preceded to take individual baths. Sabo helped you wrap your arms again, and now the two of you were in your room, getting ready to sleep. You had tried for the longest of time to look for clean sheets so Sabo can have his own bed, but couldn't find any. So you decided for Sabo to sleep in your bed. After arguing who should sleep in the bed, Sabo won the argument and for tonight, he would be sleeping on the floor and you in your bed.

"Are you sure? I don't mind sleeping on the floor..." you asked again, right before getting into bed.

"What did I just say, (Name)? I'm fine!"

"Ok, then," You smiled, mischievously, "But... have a pillow at least!" You threw one of your soft, white pillows at Sabo's face, which surprised him.

"Actually, you can have it back!" Sabo declared before launching it towards you.

"Ha! No, thanks!" And so a one-hour pillow fight started. The two of you scrambled around the mansion, looking for extra materials and had a full-fledged war in the hallway outside of your room.

"Pillows, pillows," you murmured to yourself.

From across the hall, you could hear Sabo yell. "You know! I'm kind of at a disadvantage here since you know this place better than me!"

"Serves you right!" you shouted back, "Oh, and don't break anything!"

The battle concluded with ripped pillows and feathers everywhere. "Looks like I'm adding pillows to the list of things to buy, along with plates," you muttered to yourself as you and Sabo cleaned up the mess.

"I guess that we could do that tomorrow then," Sabo said as he picked feathers.

Finally, after picking the last piece, the two of you collapsed, you on your bed and Sabo on his makeshift mess of fluff. You laid there in silence. Pictures of what happened this afternoon flashed back in your head. The crowd. The jury. The judge. Annabelle Cresthart. Sabo's angry face. Him grabbing your hand and running away.

You turned, facing Sabo. The moonlight coming from your bedroom window illuminated the boy's face and made his bright blue eyes sparkle. He looked deep in thought as he stared at the ceiling. "Nee, Sabo."

"Hmm?"

"What are you thinking about?" you asked out of curiosity.

"Huh? Oh, n-nothing really."

"Is it about Annabelle Cresthart?"

Immediately, Sabo's eyebrows scrunched up. "I knew her. She was one of the nicest nobles I've ever met. Every time my family would go visit her family, she would always read stories to me. Other noble kids usually ignore me or bully me, since I'm so different from them."

"Different?"

"I like to go out a lot, and I don't think and agree to anything they do." Sabo sighed. "I absolutely hate how everyone is two-faced, and the way that nobles treat everyone not a noble like trash." Sabo suddenly sat up. "Also, I hate how stupid the jury was and the judge. That was absolutely unfair!" The blonde clenched his fist. "I hate being a noble. I always hoped that I can leave this place and finally feel freedom. Then I wouldn't be tied back by all the judgement and fakeness."

You scrunched your eyebrows. "Why don't you leave then?"

Sabo looked at you and grinned. "That's because I met you! You gave me hope that not all nobles are fake. You're a nice person. I like you!"

You blushed. "Really?"

Sabo plopped onto the pile of feathers. "Yup! I'm glad that I met you!" He said closing his eyes.

"Nee~ Sabo..." You stopped, noticing that he had already fell asleep. You smiled. "I like you, too. Ever since the first day..."
