Chains (Sabo x Reader)

 "Wow... Amazon Lily..." You stepped foot onto the island in the middle of the Calm Belt. The struggle was real when getting here. You met 4 sea kings, 3 hurricanes, and 6 tropical storms, which you had escaped all of it ... Barely. Calm Belt was the absolute worse, with no currents or wind, you rowed the boat from the edge all the way to Amazon Lily. The sea kings did not make the journey any more pleasant. The boat that the nice old men of Weatheria had gave you was on the verge of falling apart.

You sauntered through the forest, not exactly sure of where your heading. As you leaned down to pick a bright pink flower, you were stopped by an arrow. The arrow penetrated through the tree you next to, making a clean hole through the wood. You froze, your hand stopped in the middle of getting the plant. "Halt, intruder!"

You looked and saw the speaker. A girl a little older of you, with short blonde hair which curved outwards at the end. A green snake,the bow that fired the dangerous arrow, was wrapped around her neck. Another voice came from behind.

"Oi, Marguerite! What's the matter?" The figure jumped from tree root to tree root. You smiled at the sight. The figure, lugging a huge chunk of meat and wore a familiar straw hat.

"(Name)!" Luffy rocketed himself at you and hugged you. "I'd never thought to see you here!"

"Luffy-san? You know this girl?" Marguerite asked, lowering her stance.

"Yup! (Name) is one of my nakama! She stayed on my ship for a while!" The boy turned to you. "So how come you're here? You didn't fly here, did you?"

"Nope... not this time... Though I wish I did or else I wouldn't have to go through that hectic journey... I came here to find you," you replied, "I got the info from Iva-chan."

"Oh! Iva-chan! Come on! I'll show you around. The people here are really nice, but they keep pinching me." Luffy grabbed your hand and stuff. "You can Hammock, too!"

 "Does he mean Hancock? As in Boa Hancock? The Pirate Empress?" You looked at Marguerite.

She nodded.

"This is Hammock!"

Boa Hancock continues to look at you with a deadly glare, as if you had trespassed into unwanted territory. "So she is also one of your nakama?"

"Yup, meet (Name)!"

After showing you around, Luffy declared that they should have another banquet and the women of island quickly complied. You laughed and talked and danced.

Your eyes widened when you took a bite of one of the dish. "This is sooo good! What is this?" you asked in between bites.

"This is the special Sea King dish! Luffy-san likes it, too."

You look to the right and sweat-dropped at Luffy, who was gorging on the same dish. You sweat-dropped even more when you saw the pile of dishes that stacked high to the ceiling next to him. "He never really changed..." You chuckled to yourself.

The next day, Luffy took you exploring in the forest. You ran along with Luffy. The familiar forestry took you back to age eight again. The morning when you and Sabo had ran about the forest in Mt. Corvo. The memory sank in and throbbed your heart. Abruptly, you stopped.

Luffy also paused. "Something wrong?" His eyes widened, when he saw you trembling, tears dripping down the faucets that opened up again. You had tried to shut it tight. This is what you were trying to get away from. "Oi! (Name)!" Luffy ran up to you.

You broke down. "I can't do this anymore!" You broke down, pouring all your feelings about Sabo, the disappointment, frustration, 'losing him'. You replaced "Sabo" with "the boy I like". "I don't know if I can ever go back!"

Just then, Luffy hugged you. "Even though I don't who you're talking about, I know the feeling of losing someone. It's hard at first, but..." He wiped your tears. "... Jinbei reminded me of my nakama, and that's how I'm still standing. I treasure the time with Ace, but I had move on..."

"Oh, gosh! Ace..." you sniffed, wiping the remaining tears. "Thank you, Luffy!" You looked up. He smiled. You smiled back. The two of you continued venturing through the forest, going at a slower pace. You settled near a waterfall to eat lunch. Some of the Amazon Lily warriors were very nice and packed bentos for the two of you.

While you ate your lunch, the two of you talked about the adventures you had. "You got two more crew mates, right?"

"Yup, Franky and Brook! Franky was the one who made our new ship, Thousand Sunny, and Brook is a musician. He's a skeleton!"

"A skeleton... ?" you giggled, "Luffy, they both sound so interesting!" You ate a few more bites of the Sea King meat and sighed, "Ace was a really nice brother, wasn't he..."

"Even though, whenever we were little, he would always beat me up, but whenever I needed help, he would help me!"

"You know, I met Ace before."

"Really? When was that?"

"I met him before I joined the Revolutionary Army. It was when I was out shopping. He fell asleep in the middle of street!"

"Shishishi! Ace is so hilarious!"

The two of you continued to talk. Soon it was getting late, and you headed back to Hancock's castle. Hancock glared at you as you walked in, and you couldn't help but tease her by holding Luffy's hands. Luffy didn't really care and continued to ramble about how he couldn't wait for dinner. Tick marks formed on her forehead, but faded when Luffy asked her a question.

"Hammock, what's for dinner?"

The Snake Princess turned away, hands at her cheek, blushing. "It's you favorite dish..."

"Awesome! Let's go!" Luffy dragged you along to go eat.

You stayed on Amazon Lily for four more days. Each day, you had tons of fun with Luffy, the hurt gradually faded away. But when you realized that you can't stay here forever, you decided that it was time to make a decision.

"Thanks, Luffy, for letting me stay with for a while."

"No problem! Come back anytime! You still need to meet the rest of my crew. And Sunny!"

You quickly gave Luffy a hug and left with the Kuja Pirates, who will be taking you to the nearest island, out of the Calm Belt.

"I'll never be able to fulfill my goal, but it was nice while I stayed in the Revolutionary. But then..." you gazed at the endless sea, "I need move on, and move past that goal. The goal of being with Sabo with his memory back."
