Chapter 5: I'm...a God with a Familiar?!

I don't even have to think before repeating that very line. It has been running through my mind ever since.

"She said, Dear God, please let my daughter give birth to a beautiful, and healthy child," I say .

Nanami looks at me with a surprised look in her eyes.

"Could you seriously remember that?" she questions.

I nod shortly before looking back at Onikiri and Kotetsu.

"Kotetsu, can you tell me..." I don't dare to finish that sentence, but Kotetsu nods understandingly.

He takes a look at the mark before going completely blank. "Kotetsu? What is it?" Nanami asks.

"The God of the Moon," the shrine spirits yell at the same time. And as they did with Nanami, they throw confetti at me and offer a whole lot of stuff.

"Wow, wow, wow! Hold on!" I yell, stopping them. "How?"
The shrine spirits float around me dancing.

"It's passed on through your bloodline!" Kotetsu says, dancing.

"Through my bloodline...so does that mean-"

"Yup! Your mother, grandmother and great grandmother and so on have been Gods of the Moon," Onikiri says cheerfully.

"Woah...well that explains a lot," I murmur.

"Well, great! Now we're both Gods!" Nanami says with a slight hint of sarcasm.

"Yeah...and now there is absolutely no way that Tomoe will come back," I say bitterly.

"Actually, now that you're a God, there is a way that you can make Master Tomoe do whatever you say," says Onikiri.

Nanami and I exchange glances before smirking. "Ohooo..and what do I need to do?" we both say.

"You see, you must simply take him...."

"Yes?"

"And..."

"Yes?!"

"Kiss him on the lips!"

"NO!"

Aww shoot! Just when I thought I had him good.
I'm so caught up in my own thoughts, that I don't realize that Nanami had pulled me into running mode.

We ran for like ten seconds until we hide behind a tree. "What the heck Nanami?" I whisper-yell.

"There's no way!" she says. I know what she means. No way we're gonna kiss him just to make fun of him.

"Lady Nanami, Lady (Y/n)!"

The shrine spirits can be heard calling for us. Nanami and I decide to make a run for it.
We run and run until and old lady calls out on us.

"Excuse me girls, will you help me?" she asks. I have a bad feeling about her, and yet I pull her onto my back and sprint, avoiding the dead trees .

"Ma'am, where do you live?" Nanami asks.
The woman doesn't reply, so I look up at her.
Her white hair flows around her face, her eyes glowing red, and she holds a huge kitchen knife in her hand.
I literally throw her off my back and sprint even faster.
