(Y/n)'s P.O.V

Number one thing on my mind is to run. Tomoe stands up in front of me in a protecting manor. The person comes out of the portal to reveal them self.

Hazel.

For a moment I forgot how to breathe. What is she doing here? More or less, how did she get here? What did she do?

"Hazel?!" I call out to my best friend.
Tomoe looks at me over his shoulder.
"Do you know this woman?"
I open my mouth to give him a truthful answer, until this voice appears:

"Don't."

Shoot, that's right. I can't tell where I am from or how I got here...

"Uhh... N-no. I....sh-she j-ust s-seems familiar..." I stammer. Tomoe doesn't even bother to ask me anymore questions, since either I would be stammering too much for him to understand a word I'm saying, or I would just be speaking nonsense.

"Go inside, (Y/n)." Tomoe says in a low tone.

Hazel tilts her head to the right questioningly. "What?...." she almost whispers.
I give her an apologetic look, but she just brushes it off.
"(Y/n).....hehe.....I FINALLY FOUND YOU!" Hazel roars. I'm so terrified about her sudden action that I almost stumble and fall.

Tomoe doesn't move an inch, though he glances at me to reassure if I'm okay, and I an, but emotionally I'm not.
I feel so bad that I just want to shrink and crawl into a tiny hole so I can sit there and cry. But I have to stay strong. I gulp and take a step forward so that I'm standing next to Tomoe. "Wha...What do you mean..?"

Hazel doesn't look all too well mentally. Her eyeballs are rolling around in her head as if detached. She's wearing a sickening grin and saliva is dripping from the corner of her mouth so that it spills onto her black dress.

The portal is swirling around in the background, making Hazel look even more crazy and— let's be honest— disgusting. She lifts her head up, straightens her back and starts to hyperventilate and starts to laugh while doing so.

Then something unexpected happens: something that looks like tails with claws at the end of them emerge from her lower back.
They are all black and gooey and drips onto a small piece of pavement that leads into the shrine.
The smell is horrible. It almost smells like a fish's spoiled insides with gasoline poured over them.

I feel like gagging, but nothing in my entire body moves. It almost feels as if even my heart stands still.
"(Y/n), stay back!" Tomoe yells. He grabs my wrist to prevent me from going any closer to Hazel. I look around, confused. Without noticing, I had been walking towards Hazel.

I'm glad that Tomoe is here. If it wasn't for him, I would've probably been stabbed into bits by those weird looking tails.

I turn around to go back, but I don't even manage to take a step until a tail wraps around my body and lifts me into the cold air. "TOMOE," I scream. He reacts quickly and starts throwing foxfire at who I assumed was my BFF.

Hazel avoids most of Tomoe's attacks by shifting from her left to her right while she uses some of the tails to block, or throw fire back at Tomoe. "Tomoe..! Help.....!" I whisper. The tails grasp gets tighter and tighter for every second, making me yelp in pain.

Tomoe seems to panic a little, but quickly regains himself. He runs full speed towards Hazel, but a tail forcefully flings him into the shrine. The wooden wall gives in, leaving Tomoe in a bed of scattered, sharp pieces of planks.
