Clark Kent X Reader

  Y/N'S POV

  I woke up to being in bed alone the next morning. I frowned and pulled myself up. However, I noticed roses with a note inside on my desk.

  I smiled and carefully took the note out, before I read it to myself a couple of times.

  It said,"

Sorry for leaving so early this morning, but I would have rather been with you. I was due for a meeting with the Commissioner. Do not worry, I will try to be on time for work, so I can see you longer.

Love,

Your Superman.

  I smiled at Clark's note, before I hopped in the shower and quickly got dressed for work. I ran down the stairs and almost fell, but I caught myself and made my way to the Daily Planet.
  Once I got there, I saw Clark's truck and parked next to it. I smiled and jumped out of my car, before I left something on his windshield. I walked over to my desk and took a seat. Perry walked over to my desk and sent me a look.

  I sighed but looked at him confused saying,"What?"

  Perry slammed down a paper on my desk, and I read the outline.

  He angrily said,"That is not what I hired him for, Y/N. Nobody cares about Clark Kent taking on the Batman..Talk to your boyfriend, please."

  How did he know that? Perry sent me a weak smile and put a hand on my shoulder, before he made his way to the elevator.
  I looked back down at the paper and felt eyes on me. I turned and saw Clark leaning back in his seat, while he was pondering about something.

  I studied his movements, and he was very tense. I would even say he was stressed out. I frowned and went to walk over to him, but a hand pulled me back.

  Jimmy said,"Y/N, there is something you might wanna see.."

  I nodded. Jimmy guided me to my desk. On my desk were dozens of flowers, chocolates, and an anonymous letter. I was sure it was Superman again, but it wasn't. I picked it up and opened it, only for Jimmy to read it to me.

  Jimmy cleared his throat and said," Dear Ms. L/N, you have been invited to attend the party of Lex Luthor. Please join us at Lex Corp around 8 o'clock!!"

  Out of curiosity, I picked up the roses and smelt them. I smiled, because they smelt really good.

  Jimmy said,"So, are you going? This would be a great opportunity for a new story or pictures for our article!! What do you say?"

  I answered,"Sure, I will go. I will see you there, okay?"

  Jimmy nodded and smiled hugging. me, before I hugged back. He let go and ran down the hall, and I just chuckled pushing my chair back in.

  I noticed Clark was gone and thought,"Maybe he went outside?"

  I went with it and quickly caught the elevator. Once I stepped in, I pressed the first button and patiently waited. As the doors went to close, someone stuck their foot in and Clark walked in. I giggled, but noticed he was still tense.

  I got an idea, before I softly said,"Baby?"

  Clark hmmed in response and looked down at me. I crashed my lips into his, and he immediately responded. I smiled in the kiss, and Clark did, too. He brought me closer and I noticed his glasses about to fall off. I quickly fixed them, before someone cleared their throat.
  I slowly pulled away from Clark and saw the security guard standing there. Clark and I both blushed, before he pulled me out of the elevator.

  He led us to our cars before he said,"Who gave you the flowers?"

  I smirked and said,"Are you jealous, Kent? They smell nice."

  Clark took the flowers out of my hand and fried them with his heat vision saying,"Now, they are burnt."

  I cupped Clark's face and said,"Kent, your jealousy. Not your best look, but I will let it slide this time..I love you.."

  He then said,"How come you are so comfortable with this? Why do you love Clark Kent, even though he is not Superman?"

  I knew Clark was really hurting, because he used himself in 3rd person.

  I slowly took Clark's glasses off his face saying,"I love Clark Kent, because of how dorky, cute, and friendly he is towards me. Kansas, I do not care which one you are, because I love both. I love your constant drive to protect those you care about, but it is Clark Kent that I am really in love with. He is the one that made the decision to push through his pain and become something greater. You told me to believe in him..and that is what I am doing, because Clark Kent and Superman are standing right in front of me. Either way, I can not live without them.."

  Clark let his tears fall saying,"I love you so much, Y/N, so much."

  I kissed away Clark's tears and winked saying,"I love you more, Superman. I love you, more. Take me out?"

  Clark wrapped his arms around me and pecked my lips saying,"My pleasure. Anything for Superman's girl.."

  Superman's girl, huh? I could live like that..
