The chime ended, there was dead silence, and the only sound I could hear was the sound of my pounding heart. But, I still carried on, took a deep, shaky breath that was fortunately unheard over the loud speakers, and I began my speech.

"Good afternoon, people of Camp Elemental." I started. "As many of you know, I am Scarlet May, which is one the Quest Conqueror for our camp."

There was some cheering and applause, and I waited for the applause and cheering to calm down before I continued. "Well, many of you also know my good friends Kate and Trent..."

"I'd say you're a little more than friends with Trent!" I heard a voice come from the army. It was followed by a fairly large choir of ooohs. Trent and I looked at each other, and we both watched each other as our cheeks turned as red as tomatoes.

After it quieted down by a stern look from the Grand Master, many of them nodded in apology, and then directed their attention once more to me.

"Anyway," I laughed a little uneasily, and then continued with a serious tone. "There has been rumors, so let us begin with a few of them: One, that we've been assigned to a top secret mission... yes, this is true. We've been assigned to a mission to install cameras in order to figure out any plans the Shades have for the extinction of our race. There has been increased activity near the borders, and they had helped reveal a lot. The Shades plan on attacking our camp in a dozen groups of a dozen Shades each. We have strategically planned our army to take them by surprise. I do not wish to inform you of these plans, because I don't need a Shade spy coming back with that information. They say they have a surprise for us, too... we don't need any more. One is enough."

I sighed, and continued, "We have just been informed of something very crucial, and I will now allow Kate to take over to expand on the topic."

There was a polite applause given to her, as I stepped back in line next to Trent and she stepped forward to take my place.

"The Tech Team has been working extremely hard to keep track of all the activity that has happened with the Shades," She began. "After carefully monitoring their activity, we had figured out their secret plans and battle strategies, and has been working hard with both Scarlet and Trent-who is the current army general-to train them to be able to help bypass their strategies and take them by surprise with a strategy of their own, that was specifically made for their strategies. Although, we had been informed that it had took an unexpected turn, but before we inform you of that, let us direct our attention to Trent."

There was another polite applause as Kate took Trent's place next to me, and Trent took Kate's. It was kind of awkward for the both of us, as we were just arguing, but Kate acted as if we hadn't fought at all. I wanted to mind message her, but she had blocked off all mental communication, specifically for that purpose, so I remained quiet, as I listened to Trent's speech.

"The army has been working extremely hard," Trent said, but was interrupted by the army's loud cheering and pounding of weapons on shields, and they even started to chant his name. Another austere stare was given to the group by the Grand Master once more, and the cheering ceased. Slowly, but surely.

Trent chuckled, smiled, and repeated, "The army has been working very hard..." and then added for a amusement, "as you can tell."

A slight chuckle went over the audience, and then he actually got to the speech. "The army has been doing different and various work outs, weapon exercises, and unique instructions as to help with the strange, but admittedly clever strategy the Shades had for us." He cleared his throat. If I knew one thing about Trent, was that he wasn't terrible at speeches, it's just that he didn't like to give them out. "This strategy has a unique blend of high leveled elementalism and weapon strategy that is very advanced and unique, much like the Shade's, and it is specifically intended to deflect the attacks and bypass the defense of that strategy." Trent paused once more. "Of course, if their surprise is the change of attacks and strategy, we'll still be able to fend them off with our own, but it will prove difficult. Although, we need the community to help out as well."

He stepped back and I stepped forward quickly, and said reluctantly, "Although, here's the catch..." I took a deep breath, and managed to continue, "The Shades had found and diswired our cameras, and is arriving tomorrow."

A slight gasp went over the crowd, and people started to talk to each other. They all showed fear in their eyes, and the volume grew increasingly loud.

"B-but wait!" I yelled, and they immediately silenced. "We need your help!"

"How can we possibly do that?!" an anonymous voice yelled.

"Traps!" I yelled, and revealed three different scrolls. Kate showed one, Trent showed one, and I showed one. The crowd calmed down and went forward to get a better view of the scrolls.

"There are many different numerous traps that we have planned out for you guys to make!" I shouted. "We just need you guys to have the determination, the intelligence, and the grit to help us make these traps! We have everything planned out, we just need you guys to make these traps, and even make some of your own! Elementalists... are you ready to fight back?!"

My question was answered with a roar of agreement, the army banging their shields together and yelling, and the crowd fist pumping, giving out battle cries, and giving applause to equal that to the volume of a standing ovation, and with that statement, we prepared for the battle ahead.
