You and Leo had been dating for 5 years. 

Leo had fallen in love with you ever since your first date. And you had fallen in love with him as well. Leo had been waiting for the moment when he would propose to you, but he never knew when. He tried dropping hints, but you were oblivious.

He finally decided to propose on Valentine's Day.

You and Leo had planned on just staying inside your cabin and cuddling. But Leo had decided to change the plans.

On the morning of Valentine's Day, Leo had gone into your cabin.

He planned on surprising you that morning with roses. But Percy interfered. 

Leo had quietly opened your door and closed it. He slowly walked to your bed when he suddenly heard someone shift in the bed next to him. He froze and turned. Percy was looking at him.

"What're you doing, Valdez?"

Leo thought of an answer and said, "Surprising my girlfriend for Valentine's Day?" Percy sat up and said, "Uh no, you're going to wait outside. Y/n is gonna have as much rest as possible."

Before Leo could protest, Percy pushed him out of the cabin. Leo dropped the roses on accident. Before Percy closed the cabin door, he snorted.

"Valdez, you're lucky that I'm letting y/n date you. Or a guy in general."

Leo crossed him arms and said, "You're being to protective." "Sometimes being protective can save someone from being hurt, Leo. Oh, you dropped this."

Percy threw a box to Leo. It was the proposal ring.

"See you at breakfast."

He then shut the door. Leo grumbled to himself and walked to his cabin.

You woke up 15 minutes later.

You sat up, stretched, and yawned. As you got out of your bed, you stepped on something. You reached down and picked up a bouquet of roses. You had stepped on the stem.

You looked at the tag and read, "To: The Best Girlfriend in the World. From: Leo. Happy Valentines Day, sweetheart!"

You smiled and Percy saw you. "What're you smiling about?" You showed him the roses and Percy laughed. "He must have dropped them on his way out."

"What do you mean? Was he here?" "Yeah, he was gonna surprise you."

You were going to ask more questions but the horn blew for breakfast. You ran out of the cabin, excited to see Leo.

When you reached the tables, everyone was in the Valentine's Day mood. You went to the Hephaestus table and saw Leo laughing with his siblings.

You went beside him and kissed him on his cheek. Leo turned and saw you holding the roses. He smiled and said, "Hey, Happy Valentine's Day!"

You kissed him and said, "Happy Valentine's Day!"

You sat down at your table and ate breakfast. You and Leo spent the rest of the day cuddling and just showing affection for each other.

And dodging Percy. But Percy had other plans. 

He knew that what was in the box was a ring. He was going to prevent the proposal that night. 

~That Night~

You and Leo were taking a walk on the shore.

Percy had said he needed to talk care of some business. Leo kept holding the ring box in his jacket box. He was super nervous.

You leaned your head on his shoulder and happily sighed.

Leo spotted the spot where it would happen. 100 yards away.

The closer you got, the more nervous Leo got. He knew that is was the right choice, but he was scared that you would say no.

50 yards away.

You watched as the waves crashed against the sand. The ocean always calmed you down whenever you were stressed. You were stressed that day because of Percy.

You guys reached the spot.

Leo suddenly stopped.

You looked at him and asked, "Are you okay?"

Leo nodded and looked at you, a soft smile on his face. He walked in front of you and said, "We've been dating for a while now. And I've been wanting to do this ever since I met you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, y/n. I'm not the best choice in the world, but I feel like you're the perfect one for me."

He knelt down and you got the idea.

Leo took out the box and opened it. "Y/n will you marry me?" You covered your mouth as you happy cried. You loved Leo more than anything and him just giving you roses made your heart melt.

Seeing that he proposed to you was beyond your imagination.

You wiped your tears and said, "Leo, I love you more than anything else in this world." Leo smiled and asked, "Is that a yes?"

You nodded and said, "Ye-"

Suddenly, a huge wave crashed into you and Leo. Both of you fell over and went underwater. Leo lost his grip on the ring and it was washed away.

You looked into the ocean and saw a familiar over protective face.

"Percy!!"

Percy walked in front of your soaked bodies and said, "Valdez, like I said, you guys are lucky that you're dating each other."

Percy opened his hand and showed you the ring.

"When y/n turns 60, maybe I'll consider giving you the ring back. See ya." He started walking away. You became pissed.

You suddenly caused a huge wave of water to crash onto Percy.

"Still no ring!"

You let out a frustrated sigh as you and Leo stood back up.

"Don't worry, we're still engaged in my head." Leo kissed your cheek and muttered, "Happy Valentine's Day.."
