"I'm all ears." I told him. He leaned his head against the wall. "I found a letter in my bag that said my girlfriend broke up with me." I looked at him like he was crazy. "What?" "That is the worst way to break up with someone." I giggled.

"So then what do I do?" "I'll be back." I told him and unlocked the door. I took my boots off and ran to Daniel's bed. I tapped him and barely shook him. He lifted his head. "What?" "Need help. Bathroom now." I told him. "With what?" "Follow me with your boots." I told him.

I put mine back on and went back into the bathroom with Daniel following. "Jesse." He looked up. "I may be a girl but I know who will give the best advice and not talk about afterwards." I added.

"Let me guess girlfriend?" Daniel asked him. Jesse nodded. "I'll take it from here Bailey. Go get some sleep." Daniel told me. I left and Daniel locked the door behind me. I got back in bed and fell asleep.

I jumped out of bed and went to the stable

I jumped out of bed and went to the stable. To thank Daniel I gave his horse clean water and hay. I put a note on the door saying thanks for last night before starting on my chores. Once done I went and took care of Jesse's horse for him.

At breakfast I saw both of them. "No need to take care of your horses this morning guys it was on me." I told them. After breakfast I went to the stable and saddled up Jolly.

Jesse came in the stable. "Thanks for last night." He told me. "No problem." I replied. Daniel and one of his friends passed as I took Jolly to the ring.

Jesse met me there and we got onto our horses. "So trail ride later?" He asked. "Yeah." I replied. I quit bull riding so I had two sports I had to do. "Today we are switching sides. You will learn how to be your partner while your partner is learning to be you." Kollin told us. "If your horse was trained to be the head horse or heel horse, you and your partner can switch horses for this." Luke added.

"Is your horse head trained?" Jesse asked. "Yup and I've tried to heel train him." I told him. "I'll ride your horse if you don't mind." Jesse told me. "Not at all." I said getting off mine.

Jesse was a little hesitant but got off his horse. Jolly sniffed him and Jesse took a step back. "He's just trying to get to know ya. Here start by petting his muzzle." I said holding Jolly. Jesse came closer and pet him.

"I assure he won't bite someone that cares for his own horse." I told him. "So get on him?" Jesse asked. I nodded. "I hold him while you do." I assured. "Ok." Jesse said getting on my horse.

I adjusted the stirrups then went over to his horse. After fixing the stirrups I mounted. Jesse kind of looked scared. "Hey don't worry. Jolly is easy with new people on his back." I told him. "You sure?" He asked. I silently chuckled. "I'm sure. If I wasn't sure I wouldn't of put you on my horse." I told him.

He still looked unsure. "Now you will ride your partner's horse if you switched." Luke told us. Jesse continued to look unsure. "I'll be right beside you the entire time."

He shyly smiled. I got his horse into a walk and he followed. After fifteen minutes they told us to stop. "Have you heeled before?" Jesse asked. "Yeah. I heeled for junior rodeo my first year. That was when I was eleven." I said to him.

"So you know both sides?" He asked. "Yup." I answered. "Bailey, Jesse, your up first." Kollin said. Jesse looked at me. "Don't worry about it he knows your in control." I told Jesse.

He rode Jolly into the header box as I rode into the heeler box. "Ready?" Luke asked from behind us. Jesse called it and I waited until he looped the steer's head. Once he did I caught its heels.

Still Jesse was nervous. Not good on a horse. Once class was over I waited for Jesse so we could go on a ride before lunch. He came out and I gave a small smile towards him. He returned it then got off Jolly.

I got off his horse. "Jesse are you use to riding your own and no one else's?" I asked. "No." "How about we ride our own horses out on the trail. Then once we get to the spot you can tell me if you want." I told him. He nodded.

"But first." I added as I stopped and took Jolly to the fence. I tied him up and took the saddle off and put it inside. I ran back out and quickly untied Jolly and mounted. Jesse and I took off.

Once we got to the hidden water fall I got off and let Jolly graze with Dally, Jesse's horse. We sat down on the rocks. "Do you want to tell me?" I asked. "Yeah. The reason I just ride my horse is because I was helping my dad train this one horse and the horse bucked me off and almost paralyzed me."

"I would have been scared too." I told him. "So what am I supposed to do. You saw me out there I'm scared stiff." He said frustrated. "How about we start slowly and work our way up?" I asked. "How?" "Put your saddle on Jolly. Then lead him around while I lead Dally." I told him.

"Are you sure it will work?" He asked. "I had the same problem once...... and you saw how fast I mounted your horse." He nodded. "Yeah....... I'll give it a try." He said getting up.

I watched as he put his saddle on Jolly and led him around. He started to relax as he walked with him. Jolly snorted once and Jesse didn't care.

"Think you can get on him?" I asked. "I'll try." He said. I got up and walked over to them and held Jolly as Jesse mounted him. "Ready? Let me know when you've had enough. I'll be leading you both around." I explained. Jesse nodded and I started leading him and Jolly around.

After several minutes of him riding Jolly, Jesse asked if he could ride himself. I let him go and got on Dally. "Think we should head back?" I asked. "Yeah. I think we should." We rode back on each other's horse. Once there we put them up in the right stall and went to lunch.
