I got up at eight and got dressed. As I was getting breakfast I got a text from Jesse. 'Your supposed to tell me when your in the city.' How did he know? I turned around and almost fainted, but settled on rolling my eyes.

'Traveling home I see.' I texted.
'Yeah how bout u?' J
'Going to see a house.'
'How far from here?'
'No clue.'
'How far from me?'
'Bout an hour and a half.'

I ordered my breakfast and guess who decided to walk up after texting me. "Could have stayed at my place." He told me. "But I didn't want to." I argued. "And your in my state." He argued back and paid for my food. "Oh and my dad said I could go with you to help out." He said before smiling.

I got my food and walked out to my truck with him tailing. "What do you want?" I asked. "Going with you so I know the way." Least he's annoying and not abusive. I got into the driver seat. Jesse got in and buckled up.

"So your stuck with me until your moved in." He added as I started the engine. Man I'm going to need a new truck. I thought to myself. Once on the highway I turned the radio on and let it play. Jesse soon plugged his phone in and played his music.

Johnny Cash played over the speakers. I hummed along to I've been everywhere until the chorus and places.

I've been everywhere.

I hit every place perfectly and on cue. Jesse looked at me like 'really, I was trying to enjoy that song without you singing. It was better when you were humming it.' "What?" I asked. He rolled his eyes at me while sighing. "Yeah. Now your quiet." I said.

For the rest of the trip we were both quiet. I parked in front of the house as a person pulled up in a car. I got out as a lady in a nice outfit got out.

"Are you Bailey Willingham?" She asked coming closer. "Yes I am." "Nice to meet you. I'm Rhonda and I'll be showing you the house today." I nodded and followed her onto the porch and she unlocked the door.

Inside there were hardwood floors or lookalikes that was actually tile. There was no carpet at all in any of the rooms or closets. The garage could hold my trailer and truck but until the barn was up the horses.

There was a shack that could be turned into a barn area so that was going to be where the horses are going to stay.

Everything looked like it should and there was no damage to the house. "There was a barn at one point but I think it burned down a few years ago." Rhonda told me. I nodded. "Just something that's going to have to be built anyway." I mumbled.

Once I saw the entire house I wanted to buy it. "The land does come with it and everything still on the land, the owner said you could keep and sell it." She told me as we stepped outside onto the porch. I nodded. "When can I place an offer?" I asked.

"I was going to meet with the home owners later to discuss the property so far the offers have been below asking price." Rhonda told me. "How about I go in with an offer of the asking price and paid in cash I have on me?" I told her as a truck pulled up.

"Then we can discuss that with the owners of the property." Rhonda said as we stepped off. A man came up to us. "I didn't know that you were showing the house or else I would have came back later." He said.

"Mr. Haskel this lady was offering full amount and paid on the spot." Rhonda told him. He glared at me. "What do you plan on doing with the place?" He asked.

"Fix up the shed for horses, and possibly build an arena for practice roping." I told him. "Why?" "I'm going to compete in ERA." He laughed. I pulled out my phone and told Jesse to get out of the truck.

The man stopped laughing when he saw Jesse. "I bet you know who this is." I said. The man smiled. "If I knew she was a friend of yours I'd let her have the place cheaper than offered." Mr. Haskel said.

"Well she drug me out of the truck. If I knew you were selling your place I would have bought it." Jesse told him. They both laughed while I was trying to buy it. "How much were you offering?" Mr. Haskel asked me. "Full. In cash."

"How about for you. Half in cash." He told me. 'Take the deal.' Jesse texted me. "I'll take it." I told him. We shook hands. By the time all the paperwork was done I owned the house and land and it was seven at night.

I called Michael as Jesse made me sit in the passenger side of my own truck. "Hey Bailey, how'd it go?"
"I got the house and it has enough room for Jolly and one other horse. Plus if I took a few steers with me I'll have enough to get me started."
"Need any help?" He asked.
"Yeah. Continue to watch the animals and keep Blake away until I've got everything moved."
"You got it." He said before hanging up.

We pulled into a ranch with huge facilities. "Welcome to my humble home." Jesse said as we pulled up to the house. Humble was an understatement with the building around it.
