-Tucker's POV-
"Tryouts? For the LCS?" I questioned as I was going through my Twitter feed. There were tryouts for a new team called EnVyUS, they were losing a few of their players. I hadn't played much ranked, but I was towards the top of the Master Tier, so I wasn't doubtful about getting in, not many people are going competitive these days.
"Are you talking about that stupid game you play?" Jamie asked from beside me.
"It's not stupid, it's totally cool, and I'm going to go professional with it." I told her.
She shot me a confused look. "Really? What about me then."
"I suppose that we'll have to figure it out then." I told her.
"I already have it figured out, you can do it by yourself, forget you." She said before storming out of the room.
I sighed, Sydney would have never been like this, she would've supported me one hundred percent.
"Fuck!" I said audibly. I was just on a roll of messing shit up.
I pulled up my League plays from my Overplay HUD and picked some out to put into a YouTube video.
A few hours later I felt that I had really picked some good plays and made myself look good. I submitted the application with my name, rank, and location before adding the link to the YouTube video.
It seemed like forever before I got a reply. I opened my email and saw that I had one from Hastr0, the owner of EnVy. I smiled and clicked to open it.
Tucker Smith-
I hope that today has been well for you. I wanted to let you know that you were one of the only few people who was qualified that applied. I would like to know if you would like to accept the position to our team. If you chose to do so please respond to this email confirming your position and include your phone number for further contact and details. Have a wonderful day.
-Mike "Hastr0" Rufail
It took everything in me not to start jumping around and screaming. I composed myself and hit reply to the email.
Mike-
Thank you so much for your offer. I would love to accept the position. You can reach me at (XXX)XXX-XXXX. Thank you once again.
-Tucker Smith
I smiled and hit send before logging off of my computer and jumping onto my dorm bed. I was a little anxious as to how everything would work, just because I lived in Florida and they were in California, I knew that I would have to move, and leave college. I made a mental note to ask how that would work.
My phone suddenly started ringing, snapping me out of my anxious thoughts.
"Hello? This is Tucker."
"Hello Tucker, it's Mike, I just had a few questions that I needed to have answered, and if you have any questions you can ask me at the end okay?"
"Sounds good."
"Alright, so first of all, I need to know where you live so that I can help move you out here to the team house."
"I live in Florida."
~~~~~~
~~~~~~He continued asking me questions and he answered the few that I had. At the end I was feeling much better about the move and leaving college.
He informed me that the split started in just a few weeks, and that I should have plenty of time to adjust and get used to the team before we had to do anything special.
I smiled and thanked him for the opportunity before hanging up.
I managed to fit all of my things into a special travel box that could go on the plane with me. Mike had set up a plane the next day, and helped me figure out how to word what I was going to say to administration.
