Chapter 31

His words stung you badly as you charged after him. Yuki called after you.

"Why you!!" You roared as you leaped up in the air and swung down your sword, only to have Rido dodge your attack.

"You naughty girl...swinging a dangerous weapon like that." Rido grinned, appearing behind you.

You turned and swung your sword but missed again. Rido chuckled then kicked you in the gut, sending you flying across the roof.

"(Name)!!!" Yuki cried. "Leave her alone!" Yuki attacked Rido.

Rido smirked at the foolish girl and stopped her attack by grabbing her neck. Her tender...soft...delicate...neck...Yuki gripped onto his arm, trying to pull it off of her but failed. She then tried swinging artemis, causing him to jump back then suddenly back in her face.

"I've changed my mind." Rido proposed. "I'll love you...in place of Juri..." he added, sending chills down Yuki's spine.

For some reason Yuki couldn't move her body. It was like the time when she was fighting Shizuka, Zero was being controlled by her...voice.

Aido knew first hand what was about to happen and lunged towards Yuki, pulling her out of the way in time.

"Yuki Cross!" Aido shouts then softly threw her to the ground, not to disrespect her. "Fool! Don't let him manipulate you!" He yelled at her.

"I wont let him do that!" Yuki argued back.

"Yuki...'tender princess'...so that's the name Haruka and Juri gave you..." Rido spoke aloud, then his lips slowly perked up to a creepy grin. "For such a tender princess, you sure do love to wave that dangerous weapon around...that very dangerous weapon I know so well." Rido smirked. "I borrowed the powers of a similar weapon when I took Haruka's life." He added, Yuki stared at him while Aido looked at him, shocked.

You then were suddenly in the air behind Rido, holding your sword over your head with two hands on the handle, your tri-colored eyes filled with rage.

"DAMN YOU!!!!" you cursed, swinging down your sword only to have your uncle disapear on you, then reappeared a few feet away, still having that smirk on his face.

You stood up and stood your ground ready for Rido to attack. Yuki then walked up next to you.

"Stand back (Name). He's my opponent. I stayed behind for this--" she said, sadness flooding her eyes.

"--we stayed behind for this." You corrected, Yuki then stared at you. "I want to avenge mother and father just as much as you do. We're family, we stick together through thick and thin!" You added with a confident grin, making Yuki grin at you as well.

"Right! We are family now!" She nods in reply when suddenly you and her sense an immense power coming straight towards you. "Get back!" Yuki demands and pushes Aido, accidently, off the room.

A herd of thorn vines crashed onto the roof. A symbol was glowing around it...a very familiar symbol...

"...Bloody...Rose?" You spoke, astonished at what you are seeing then your heart skipped a beat when you and Yuki witnessed someone dear to you both walking on the thorny vines.

"...Zero?" Yuki muttered to herself as Zero made eye contact with her then you.

But the look was short as he turned his attention towards Rido, as well as you and your older sister.

"Hey..." Zero called out, his cold voice sending chills down your spine. "How long do you intend to lie there?" He held his right hand out, thorny vines surrounding it, the Bloody Rose appeared in his hand, then the vines began squeezing it like a snake squeezing it's meal. "Get up...vampire!" He growled.

Suddenly a morphed, slithery object crashed out of the roof behind Zero and charged to attack when Yuki used her scythe and sliced it in half.

"What are you doing?" Zero looked over his shoulder at his long lost childhood friend. "You're...an enemy." He proclaimed.

"I made up my mind a long time ago, Zero. I'll always be on your side. Even if we're enemies." Yuki spoke proudly, standing close, guarding Zero's back.

"It's fine if we are enemies or not. That doesn't mean I can't still protect the people I love." You spoke up standing in front of Zero, holding your sword with your right hand.

Then more morphed beings arose from the roof and flew at the three of you, crashing to the roof where you stood.
