Thirty Five ? Not Today

Start from the beginning

Nobody has seen much of Jackson either. Though Stiles and Sophie were the only two who were actually acting normal around each other they decided to go on hiatus when it came to talking about the supernatural. They only talked about it when absolutely necessary. Other than Jackson, who apparently kept going to practice like nothing happened, Lydia seemed the most normal.

Everybody had just been so mopey and Sophie couldn't take it anymore. She couldn't just sit at home in some pyjamas, staring at a wall, waiting for somebody to do something about what's been happening. If a war was coming Sophie wanted it over and done with even if she had to be the person to bring it. Which is why she ended up at Stiles' house, to figure out a way to minimise the casualties.

But for a while Sophie just wanted to lay there with Stiles. Because for that short time everything was perfect. All bad guys had been eliminated and there was nobody coming to hurt them. It was just Stiles and Sophie, Sophie and Stiles, the only person Sophie felt as if she needed at that point. She didn't have Allison anymore but she did have Stiles. She'd always had Stiles.

Stiles wanted to stay there forever too. Not once did he ask to be part of all this supernatural drama. He didn't ask for his best friend to be bitten by a werewolf or love somebody who's fate was to turn into a warlock. Why would anybody ask for that? Stiles defiantly didn't but he would do it all again if it meant he got to stay in that moment with Sophie.

Because every second they laid there together they fell even more in love with each other if that was even possible.

Eventually they did wake up from their joint sleep. It was a luxury they hadn't had in a long time, sleep, how funny that it could only come when they were together. When they did wake up Stiles gladly let Sophie change into one of his tops instead of keeping her own one on. The brunette slipped on his lacrosse sweater without even leaving the room. They'd been secretly together for long enough now, surely.

Stiles laid on his bed studying while Sophie took the seat at his desk without hesitation. While he highlighted half of a text book Sophie set up all of her scientific jars and gizmos along with her warlock liquids. Probably not something you bring to Stiles, a hyperactive boy who will touch anything that interests him, but Sophie trusted him ... enough, anyway.

"Whatcha doing?" Stiles sang after over an hour. He liked being able to sit in the room with Sophie doing different things and not feeling awkward about it but he also likes hearing her voice. It was very conflicting. Plus he couldn't really concentrate on math considering everything that'd been going on, he's booked a session with the guidance councillor to talk about most of it.

"Not studying math that's for sure," Sophie sang, not really paying attention. "Y plus X equals I don't care."

Stiles laughed at Sophie's lame attempt of a joke as he turned to look at her. For the first time in a while Sophie's eyes weren't fixed on Stiles and she was focusing on all of the mixtures and scientist things on Stiles' desk. What she was trying to do took a lot of attention and she was determined to get it right.

"So, my darling Soph, what the hell are you actually doing?" Stiles asked, wrapping his arms around her waist. The boy examined all of the liquids that looked like chemicals they used in chemistry in confusion but he was intrigued nonetheless.

Sophie smiled up at him, "I am creating a potion. Derek told me to 'embrace my warlock' so that's what I'm doing. Plus if it helps us with the Kanima then I'm okay with that."
