~Scarlett POV~
"So...you and Ryan, yeah?" Calum asked me a full seven seconds after we left the building.
"Really, Calum?" I sighed in frustration.
"What?" He asked innocently.
"Don't pretend you don't know what I mean! First Jeff, now Ryan! Why are you so against my association with any other guy? I mean seriously, you're almost as bad as my brother! Except you're not my brother! You're some guy I met at a club a few hours ago that for some reason I agreed to spend my whole night with when I could be peacefully sleeping instead of worrying about how I'm going to apologize to not one but two of my friends for your rudeness towards them!" I snapped, turning my back on him and quickly walking the way I was heading before we stopped to argue.
"I-I'm sorry," he said, looking taken aback and slightly ashamed. "I swear I didn't mean to be that way, I just-I-I just-"
"Spit it out already, Calum, we're almost there."
"I'm sorry I really am. I don't know what I was doing. Please don't hate me," he whispered, with a sad, worried appearance. "Please, Scarlett." I tried to ignore him as I walked ahead of him on the sidewalk, and I was successful, too. That is, until I heard sniffling behind me that just about broke my heart.
"Hey, hey. Don't get so worked up," I whispered as I stopped walking to face him and put my hands on his arms. "It's ok, really. I'm sorry I snapped, I just get a little cranky when I'm tired. I promise I don't hate you, I don't even think hating you is possible. Ok?" I explained as I reached up and gently wiped away the tears on his cheeks with my thumbs.
Instead of responding, he just pulled me into a tight hug, wrapping me completely into his arms as he closed his eyes and breathed in deeply, like I was his sanity and letting go would cause him to lose it all.
"I need you, Scarlett," he mumbled into my neck. "I've only known you for a few hours but I need you. I don't know what you're doing to me, love. I'm fallimhmhmmhmphhm," he trailed off, getting quieter as he pressed his face further into my neck, not letting me hear the end of his sentence.
"Mmm," I hummed against him. "This is nice. I'm gonna fall asleep if we stay like this. Your shoulder is comfy. And warm," I commented as I nuzzled my face into his shoulder, inhaling his nice scent. That sounded weird but I swear I'm not creepy, he just smells really good. It's like when a hot guy walks by in the hall and you breathe in deep because he wears nice cologne.
He laughed and placed a soft kiss to my shoulder, then my neck, and finally my jaw before pulling away and smiling at me.
"We better get going then. We're not getting any sleep tonight, sweetheart," he said with a low voice, leaving me extremely flustered. Good lord his voice sounds hot right now.
He grabbed my hand and had me lead the way once again as I tried to recover from whatever that was.
"We're here," I said quietly after about a minute of walking.
"That fast? Cool," Calum said, looking around. "Where exactly is 'here'?"
"Come on, I'll show you," I explained as I pulled him into the large hotel. Yes, a hotel, but not for the reason you're thinking, you dirty minded freaks. Get your minds out of the gutter, jeez.
When we got in, he looked confused, especially as I said hello to the girl working at the front desk before going straight to the elevator.
"A hotel," he said with a smirk, wiggling his eyebrows up and down.
