Chapter 33

You inched closer and closer to his neck. Your fangs grew then you sank them into his neck. His blood tasted unique. It cooled you down. You suddenly started seeing visions of Aido.

"(NAME)!" Aido screams then pushed you off of him.

You looked utterly confused at what just happened as you examined Aido who was now on the floor with his hand covering your bite mark. You blinked then touch the side of your mouth and felt something wet there, looking at your hand, there was blood.

You drank Aido's blood...

"I..." you spoke, catching Aido's attention. "I'm sorry..." you said, Aido looked at you surprised. "I'm sorry, Aido..." you looked a bit scared.

"..." Aido couldn't say a word.

You took this chance to make your exit leaving Aido in the room alone.

"What did I just do? I fed on Aido! AIDO!" You cried in your head as you kept running.

You didn't stop running until you ran into someone. You quickly jumped back and looked at the being before you...Zero Kiryu.

"Zero..." you said, gazing into his purple eyes.

"You...you really are a vampire." Zero said, looking onto your glowing red eyes and blood on your mouth.

You couldn't say anything. You just tried your best to avoid his gaze.

"I'm sorry..." was all you said when Zero suddenly grabbed your wrist and pulled you away.

Both you and Zero arrived on the balcony outside the academy. The cold breeze kissing your exposed skin.

Zero let go of your wrist and stood with his back to you. The silence between growing strong. You quickly wiped the blood off your mouth and grinned.

"So Zero, did you finally tell Yuki how you feel yet?" You spoke but found a gun pointed towards you.

You didn't move nor even flinch since you kinda saw it coming. You just gave Zero a blank look.

"Why...?" Zero speaks under his breath, you just looked at him. "Why do you and Yuki have to be vampires?!" He growled, rage welling up in his eyes.

"Zero..." you said then gave him a sad smile. "We were born vampires..." you answered only to have a bullet skim the side of your face.

"That's not what I meant!" Zero said then looked straight at you with sorrow in his eyes.

That sad look caused you to let down your guard a bit but you just grinned at him, pulling your uniform coat over your wound.

"I'm sorry...it was my fault that you feel this way...since the day I met you, you've been cold to me, always shutting me out. But when you're with Yuki, your different. Your caring, kind, and protective. And I saw the way Yuki cared for you. She was your light...the light you didn't want to go out. While I...I just stood there and tried my best to be a part of your life...and help you through what ever problem you have had. So I helped you try to find a way to tell Yuki your feelings for her...but I screwed it up...when I found out that I was a vampire, all I wanted was to have my big sister back, the big sister who loved me so much she would do anything. And I didn't stop and think how this would affect you. I was being selfish. For once I only thought of myself. And now...you hate Yuki for what she is...and...I know you hate me the most." You finished looking straight back into Zero's eyes.

Zero blinked and stared deeply into your eyes with his gun still pointed at you.

"I'll be leaving with my siblings soon. So you won't have to deal with me anymore." You said trying to smile it off. "So please...don't hate Yuki. Hate me. I deserve it." You added then turned to head back inside. "Oh and one more thing...thank you...for not killing Yuki!" You gave him a bright smile then walked away.
