The Broken Promise

"Carlisle how could this happen! She's human!" Bella said in a shocking voice. "I'm the one who changed her when she— it's not possible!"

"I know... But it happened. Everything changes now. I promise you nothing will happen to Alice" Carlisle said exchanging glances at Bella and Jasper. "She will need you the most Jasper, and you know that"

Jasper nodded holding my hands tightly. He loved watching me sleep, he always said I looked peaceful like snow white. "I will never let her go.. I will always be by her side no matter what.. I still regret everything that has happened.."

The next morning couldn't have been worse. I had woke up with a cramp in my legs, head throbbing of pain, and worse of all morning sickness. Jasper looked at me then once I pulled my hands away from his, to cover my mouth trying to keep it down. He knew what I was feeling and rushed me to the bathroom.

"You're alright Alicat I'm here.. Let it all out" he told me in a soft tone rubbing my back and holding my hair back away from my face.

"Jazz.." I whined lifting my head up looking at him. He grabbed a rag and soaked it, as he began to wipe my mouth with it he whispered. "Nothing to be worried about my Alice"

As I collapsed against him wrapping my arms around him, he pulled me closer and gently scooped me up in his arms. I them wrapped my arms around his neck while laying my head down on his shoulder.

"Alice! Are you alright??" Bella asked when Jasper walked out of the bathroom.

"She's fine Bella" Jasper answered for me.

"It's just I heard... Must be morning sickness huh?"

"It's fine.. I'm fine" I whispered looking over at Bella but keeping my arms tightly around Jaspers neck. She smiled knowing I answered instead of Jasper. "Come down stairs, Esme made you something special"

The warmth of the freshly cooked eggs melted in my mouth, I smiled thanking Esme for what she made. Esme had smiled back and gave me a hug. She has always thought of me as a daughter of hers and I get that. We have gotten close ever since I met Jasper and started living with them.

After breakfast Jasper held my hand and we both walked to the main living area and sat down on the couch. Rose looked at me, she may not know it but it almost looked like she smiled.
