The Broken Promise

Bella and I had searched and searched. From head to toe. We went from Washington all the way to Canada. We even stopped by the Denali family if they had seen or heard of Jasper. But they all said no we haven't. Carmen specially asked what's going on, Bella explained everything. I just couldn't bare to hear it all again that I tried to block it all out. The Denali Clan didn't even know me, but are great friends with Jasper.

after the explanation, Carmen asked Bella and I to come inside - And so we did.

Tanya gave me a warm welcome look as she handed me a cup of blood, I took it. I did wish my eyes were gold like everyone else's, but Bella did say soon they will be. I felt so uncomfortable because I don't know them, Tanya asked me if we could stay for a few days, and to be honest I gave her a blank expression, only because I had no clue what to tell her.

"A few days won't hurt" Bella answered the question.

"Bella..." I had whispered. I wanted to get to know them but I also wanted to find Jasper.

"Just a few days Alice, don't worry" Bella reassured me.

Five days being with the Denali's, all of them made me feel welcomed. Eleazar especially made me warm up to them, he made me smile which was unusual, since I have been depressed. But somehow he was the one who made me feel happier.

Bella was happy that I seemed happier. I told her to call home because I knew Renesmee must be missing her mom terribly, and Edward missing his wife.

Bella told me if I was ready to leave, or if I wanted to go. I told her we can't waist anymore time, so my response was to leave. It was great getting to know the Denali's and I hope to see them again someday, but they understand I need Jasper home.

"Thank you for letting us stay..." I gave them all a hug before walking out to the car. Carmen told me that they will keep an eye open for Jasper, she said they will call if he comes around.

It's been months since Bella and I left to go find Jasper. Why did I bother to ask? We had no luck and only made my feelings worse, I can't do it anymore- I just can't. Why should I care, he left me, he wants nothing to do with me. So you know what? I GIVE UP!

I can't deal with all the sorrow. Bella needs to go home, she needs to tend to her own daughter. It's been months for cry out loud! I can tell she misses them, I should just tell her to go home. But what if she refuses to? What then? What will I do, I can't have the guilt knowing Renesmee and Edward are lonely without her. I have to do something.

I went over to Bella's room. Bella had gotten an motel since she didn't know anyone of where we are- Connecticut. She demanded to get two rooms, side by side. She knew I wanted my own room but she wanted it to be close so she could hear what's going on in the room, if I end up doing something I would regret.

When I knocked, she answered. "Alice? Everything alright?"

"Yes um..." I glanced beyond her shoulders. I saw scraps of paper thrown on the floor near the trash. "Actually no.. I need to tell you something.."

"Okay come on in..."

I walked in and sat on the foot of the bed. I looked over at Bella with my hands fidgeting. "Bella..."

"Yes Alice, what is it?" Bella sat next to me. Her expression of worry. But that expression was always the same, it never changed.

"You need to go home..." I mumbled very low. I don't even know if she heard me.

"What?" She said.

I sighed deep and repeated myself, with a more clear tone. "You need to go home, Bella"
