Queen Cyanide P.O.V

Rule 1: No complaining. Life is boring. Period. No "buts", "ands", or "ifs".

Today was like any other day, BORING. All I did was sit at my throne and listen to my citizens complain. This went on for a few hours, until I got impatient and told everyone to get out. After everyone cleared out of the room I sat there for a few minutes looking around the room. The room was mainly gold and black but it has a few splashes of violet here and there. My mom had redesigned it before she di- no stop I don't want to think about that.

I ran my hand through my hair and cleared my thoughts. I have other stuff to do. With that I sat up from my throne and walked out of the room. As I walked away from the throne room doors I heard the guards, Andrew and Zack, talking. So I stopped and made sure I was hidden so that I could listen.

"The queen seems depressed," Andrew said. I am not, I'm just bored.

"Maybe it's because she hasn't found her mate or it's because Dawn and Jaxton are gone," I heard Zack reply.

"Oh, then she's probably just lonely."

I rolled my eyes and continued walking to my office. Dawn and Jaxton are away, so I am bored so what. One thing, which I must point out is that; I. DON'T. NEED. A. MATE. I'm fine with being alone.

Rule 2: A queen's emotions should not depend on others.

When I finally got to my office I slammed the door open and sighed. More work to do. I closed the door and made my way to my desk. When I sat down I sighed again.

Rule 3; Don't sigh it's unladylike.

"Uggghh!" I looked over my desk and noticed a stack of mail, and of course I sighed again. But then my curiosity was set ablaze when I noticed that one of the envelopes was gold. I quickly grabbed it and ripped it open.

Rule 4: curiosity killed the cat, but don't forget that satisfaction brought him back.

Finally something interesting.

I unfolded the letter and started reading.

Dear Queen Lilah Renegade Cyanide,

There is a very important situation at Kingdom Monroe. Come to the castle immediately. That's it hurry.

I shook my head as I finished reading over the letter. That was very detailed.

I then closed my eyes and leaned back in my chair. Out of all the times I've been called to another kingdom, this is my first time being in Kingdom Monroe. I know who the king is I just haven't met him. I've been told that the king over there is ruthless and cold. One thing I do know one hundred percent is that he's Dawns twin brother, so I think I'll be able to handle him.

The next morning all my bags were packed and I was ready to go. As a queen I was not supposed to show if I was afraid, nervous, sad, or any other negative emotion that could effect my reputation.

My third in command, Zoella, had already started chanting the spell to open up the portal. It wasn't a long spell, so why does it seem like hours. Maybe it was because him being ruthless wasn't the only thing I heard about him. I've been told that he's hot. Then again he's the vampire king so I shouldn't be surprised. I wond-

"Your highness, it's time for you to step through the portal," Zoella said pulling me out of my thoughts.

I mumbled an okay and stepped through the portal. When I came through the other side of the portal I was in a room. The room was large and spacious, it reminded me of my guest room at the castle in Kingdom Eclipse. At all of the different castles there is a specified guest room for each of the royals. And of coarse all of my rooms are gold, black, and purple. But I actually liked this room. Maybe it was because the main color was black while gold and purple were just backup colors.
