"Ah, I know lets change it to red!" Rosalyn stated happily.
"Smart! No female vampire would dare wear that color and it would go well with her hair."
I watched as the both of them started flying around me. My dress looked as if it was on fire. They both stopped flying and singing. The fire had disappeared.
They each grabbed one of my hands and dragged me to the mirror in the closet. I stared at myself and nodded.
"Thank you girls," I told them without looking away from my reflection. They both smiled and left each leaving behind a flower petal.
I walked out of the closet and picked up my crown which was sitting on the bed. I picked it up and placed it on my head behind my braid.
Just as I finished placing the crown on my head there was a knock on the door.
I walked to the door and took a deep breath. I opened the door and looked at who it was. There was a girl with cropped brown and blue eyes.
"Queen Cyanide it's time for the ball. Follow me please." She then turned and started quickly walking down the hallway. I followed easily keeping up with her. After making about million turns we finally made it to the doors that led into the ball room. I turned to the maid to ask her a question, but she was already gone. Just as I was turning back around the large oak doors slammed open.
"Please welcome Queen Lilah Renegade Cyanide of Queendom Cyanide," The very and I mean very loud voice announced.
I had no choice but to step through the doors. When I stepped though everyone stared. I heard a few gasps.
"She's wearing red." Many more things were said.
I started walking down the steps, but I stopped mid-step when I felt a jolt of electricity coarse through my body. It was the feeling you get when you find your mate. I hadn't realized I was looking down until I lifted my head and noticed the coldest, bored grey eyes.
King Monroe P.O.V
I was sitting at my throne watching as all my citizens were anxiously waiting for the queen Cyanide to show. This is frustrating. I hissed and stood up.
"She'll be here any second if she's anything like her mother."
"I don't care whether she's here or not."
"Ok son, whatever you say."
"Don't call me son, you lost that right when you left my dead sister in the middle of the street," I hissed without looking at him.
"You know why I did that."
I turned and looked at where the voice came from. My father was casually sitting in his throne. My head snapped towards the doors when they slammed open. I sat back in my throne when the announced her name.
"I told you," my father looked at me then turned back to the doors. My fangs started throbbing and I smelt the smell in the world. It was a mix of vanilla, strawberry, and something tropical maybe a pineapple.
She stepped through the doors and many hushed whispers floated throughout the room. I wasn't surprised though. Everyone thought she was going to wear purple, so all the females decided to wear purple so that they could steal her shine. But here she is dressed in a bright red. That wasn't the only thing that made her stand out, she had green hair while everyone in the room had a normal color.
She took a step and then stopped, she looked up into my eyes and froze. When I looked into her violet eyes, I felt the throbbing in my teeth and my thirst was killing me.
I hissed and whispered, "mate."
My dad turned and looked at me with wide eyes," that can't be."
I watched as one of the guards led her too her designated throne which was right next to mine. Everyone went back to talking and dancing.
I watched her gracefully sit down. She started humming and swaying her hand to the music.
"You should ask her to dance," My father whispered lowly so that only I could hear.
Without picking a fight with him I turned to Queen Cyanide. Should I?
I should.
I stood up and bowed to her, "Would you like to dance?"
She whispered a soft yes and placed her hand in mine. When I looked into her eyes I noticed they were in a far off place.
Day dreams - Death would give her a new world.
Lilah's eyes opened and she felt numb. She wished she could live in a world like that.
He didn't know that he was hurting her.
