Third letter! ㄱ is for Gun or Corner. Really, the pronounciation is between G and K/C.

That's why you can't trust romanization!! B could be ㅍ or ㅂ and D could be ㄷ or ㅌ, and ㄱ could we written G, K, C, Q... oof! Confusing!

So yeah, it's not as rounded as Gun, but it's not as sharp as Corner. The sound comes from a bit further down the roof of your mouth, not near the front just behind your teeth! Just a softer happy medium. ㄱ Gun is in the most common last name in Korea: Kim (김). It's also in a word you've probably heard a lot in dramas or songs. Gaseum (가슴) means heart. Same batchim complex as ㄷ and ㅂ where it isnt fully pronounced at the end of syllables. Ooh! If you're a fan of dramas you've heard this one a lot: "wae geurae?" (왜 그래?). It's that same ㄱ Gun!!
