Chapter 10

"That's crazy."

"I know. Even crazier, I want to."

"Then go."

"What about Macy?"

"She can just come with you guys. You can be a family, like you've always wanted," Pascalle says and I sigh. She's right, I did always want that. Not even specifically with Daniel, I just wanted Macy to have dad and I wanted her to grow up in a family.

"But the F1 world is crazy! It's busy and hectic, that's not good for a young girl like her."

"So you're gonna say no?"

"I don't want to say no, I want us to give this a shot. We both feel like we've got something special, I don't just want to throw that away," I sigh, feeling really confused and overwhelmed by everything.

"Okay, what if you go with him to Mexico, just to see if it can work and if it's what you want. If you think it can work, you go with him. If you think it's too much, you talk to Daniel about what the other options are."

"But Macy is still sick, I can't take her with me, it'll be too much for her."

"I'll watch her. You go have a good time with your man, you deserve it," Pascalle says and in that moment, I could kiss her. I don't, because that would take it a step too far. But I could.

"Thank you, you're amazing."

"Oh well," Pascalle says as she flicks her hair back, making me laugh.

"I'm call him right now and tell him."

"Don't you think he's asleep?" Pascalle asks and I look at the time, realizing it's already almost midnight.

"Oh, you might be right."

"He'll be really happy though," Pascalle says and I know she's right. I can already imagine the big grin on his face when I tell him I'll be coming with him.

"You know what, screw his sleep, I'm gonna Facetime him right now and tell him."

"Why Facetime?"

"I want to see his reaction," I say as I start calling Daniel, a smile on my face.

"I'll be in the kitchen," Pascalle says as she gets up. After a few rings, Daniel picks up and his face appears on my screen, looking slightly sleepy.

"Hey," I say, a smile on my face.

"Hey," Daniel replies, sounding sleepy, but very sexy.

"Did I wake you up?"

"Yeah, you actually did. What's going on?" Daniel asks, not sounding mad for waking him up, which I'm glad about.

"I have great news!"

"What is it?"

"I'm coming with you to Mexico!"

"Really?" Daniel asks as a smile appears on his face, just as I imagined.

"Yes, really. For now just Mexico though, to see if it's gonna work. If it does, I'll be coming with you to Brazil and Abu Dhabi as well."

"That's amazing!" Daniel smiles, a huge grin on his face.

"Yeah, I know."

"What about Macy though?" Daniel asks, making me fall a little more for him. I love that he's thinking about Macy, even though he's only learned she's his daughter earlier today.

"Pascalle will be watching her."

"Oh okay, that's great."

"Yeah it is."

"So, I guess I'll see you tomorrow then. I'll talk to my team boss tomorrow, but it shouldn't be a problem that you're coming with. There's always place on the plane and you can stay in my room, if you don't mind of course."

"I don't," I say, making Daniel smile.

"Great, then I'll come pick you up tomorrow."

"I guess should start packing."

"Yeah, guess so. I'll see you tomorrow then."

"Yeah, see you tomorrow."

"And Lydia?"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you for coming with me and giving us a chance. You have no idea how happy it made me," Daniel tells me, causing both of us to smile.

"I'm just as happy Dan, I really want us to work."

"Yeah, me too."
